Slipping (Up)

The situation was already out of Sero's control.

Kaminari continually refused to say anything about his plan except that it was going to work out in their favor. Mina was just flat out ignoring him, instead scrolling through Tweeter and laughing at whatever drama she saw. Even Kokichi, who was enamored with the teen, wouldn't slip up even if Sero begged on his knees.

So he was out of options.

Except one, which was calling Shinso and asking for help. But Momma Sero didn't raise no snitch, so he was only holding that as an emergency choice.

"I'll leave you three alone, please for the love for whatever deity you believe in-"

"Athena and Artemis." Mina responded.

"God." Kami answered.

"None." Kokichi finished.

"Yeah whatever, please stay out of trouble. Not only your asses are on the line, but mine is too guys." Sero pleaded, remembering Shinso's protective nature.

"We got it, Hanta. Go calm your nerves." Kokichi patted his back and gave him a small shove towards the dorm rooms. But Sero wasn't going to his own. See, he had come up with a last minute plan to come before his last resort. He was ashamed to admit it, but he knew Tsuyu was Kaminari's favorite and she'd get him to crack.

He hoped so at least.

"Tsu.." Hanta knocked on Asui's door, whispering. "Open up.."

"Who is it, kero?" She opened her door, looking like she had just woken up.

"It's Sero. I need you to force information out of Kami."

"This sounds shady." She went to close the door. "I'm not part of it."

"Wait." Sero, regretfully, put his foot through her door as she kept pushing it closed. "There's a large possibility that his plan is bad one and all three of them would get hurt."

Tsu sighed, opening her door and letting him in. "Explain, kero."

"Ok so.." Sero stepped into her room and explained the entire situation and finally convincing her to help.

"So there's no like.. murdery undertone to this.. right?" Tsuyu asked once again.

"No! We all know Denki sucks with plans, especially with Oma and Mina helping him out!"

Asui finally got the urgency of the situation. "You didn't think to mention the Three Stooges were working together..?"

"It slipped my mind but that's beside the point! Are you going to help me or not?"

"Yeah, let's go." She got up and opened the door, letting Sero leave first and then shutting it behind her.

"Lil- Kami!" Tsuyu stopped herself, calling out to the boy. He perked up upon hearing her voice, instinctively happy to hear from her. Yet he calmed himself down quickly after.

"Yeah, what's up?" He asked, getting up and walking to her.

"We need to talk." She said. "That sounds threatening, kero.. Can we talk?"

"Oh yeah..?" He looked at Kokichi and Mina who zipped their lips as a silent 'Don't say anything.' "Okay, what is up, broski?"

"What's this plan you three have came up with?" She asked, lowering her voice.

"I can't tell you that just yet!"

"Why not?"

"Because you'll say no and call Hitoshi." He put up a peace sign and stuck his tongue out, running back to the couches. He received a slap on the back from Kokichi and a fist bump from Mina.

Sero groaned, frustrated with the lack of progress. Then he made a choking motion towards Kaminari, deciding against it soon after.

"And you won't call Shinso... why?" Tsuyu asked, turning to Sero with her arms crossed.

"I'm not a snitch." He shrugged.

"I guess I am then.." She responded, pulling out her phone.

"Wait wait wait." Hanta stopped her. "Aren't you sick of always calling Shinso for the rescue?"

"Pardon?"

"Like.. we need to handle some stuff ourselves! We're his caretakers and friends so we should be able to diffuse a situation!"

"You're right..?" Asui came to the same realization, putting her phone in her pocket. "So what are we going to do?"

"I don't know but we need to think of something before they get a chance to act."

Sadly, as the two retreated back to Tsuyu's room, Hebi walked out of her own, going to sit in the common room. She saw Oma, Ashido, and Denki all sitting in there and sighed, putting on a happy display and plopping down on the couch beside Oma.

"Hey!-"

"Oh Oyabayashi, I'm so glad you're here!" Mina clapped her hands together, officially setting the plan in motion. "Kokichi and I really have to go see Sensei and the principal, we got in trouble earlier!"

"Okay..?" She responded.

"Can you please please watch Kami?" Kokichi added. "He's regressed right now and everyone else is busy!"

"Oh yeah alright!" Hebi feigned a smile, looking towards Kaminari, who was sitting on the floor, looking up at her with curious doe-like eyes.

To explain, their plan was to simply make Kaminari act regressed, leave him alone with Hebi to watch, and have him record it with a small cassette recorder hidden in his pocket that he would start when things started getting suspicious.

"Thank you so much!" Mina waved as the ran out of the common room and out of sight.

"God, what a pain." She groaned, reminding Kami to press the record button. It was a bit hard to when he was anxious and could barely steady his hand enough to get in his pocket.

That was not a good sign. If he didn't calm himself down soon enough, he would end up slipping. And that was the worst case scenario.

"Okay kid, just fucking be quiet and play or something." She continued. "I already don't want to watch you, annoying brat."

Kami bit the inside of his cheek to get himself grounded and avoid regressing at all costs. Kokichi had mentioned some sort of Plan B in case things went south...

...And it seemed like they were going south very quickly.
