Jacob
Two days had passed since I confronted Red at her place of work. I'd stormed out my car, without even checking my car was parked between the lines, and demanded a dance straight away with her. Her boss had looked at me up and down, his eyebrow raised at my demands. It wasn't until I offered two thousand dollars that his expression turned less sour. His smile was sickening. The excitement he got from a man paying fortunes to see a woman dance half naked, was disgusting. As soon as the seven foot bodyguard led me towards a private room I started to relax a bit. Knowing only I could see her perfect curves displayed through her outfit, made me a little less possessive. My blood was boiling at the image of all the those men looking at her. It was my body. She was mine.
"Jacob?"
My sister brought me out my thoughts as we halted at a stop sign. If it wasn't for her, I'd have probably smacked straight into the truck passing by.
"Are you okay, J?" Her brown eyes bore into me with so much concern I almost stuttered on my words.
"Yeah, sorry. Just thinking" I gave her a tight smile and felt her eyes burning into the side of my head. She wasn't convinced.
"Hmm, sure."
I sighed. I knew she wouldn't let it go.
"I'll just tell mom you nearly killed us at a stop sign and I'm sure you'll confess all then"
I saw her from the corner of my eye fold her arms and shrug nonchalantly. Devious little- I growled to stop myself from calling her such things. She really was sneaky though, and there was no doubt she'd do it.
"It's nothing. Just please stop, Em" I pulled up outside moms and hoped she dropped it.
"No. Since when do we not talk about things? We were always close" she sounded hurt, whether that fake or real, she was trying to get a reaction out me. "It's a woman isn't it?" I heard the smirk before I saw it. As contagious as it was to see her smirk like that, I had to refrain from doing so. Could I really tell her about me wanting to see Red again, but not wanting a relationship because our dad fucked me up? Yeah, no.
"I'm fine" I reached for the handle and was jerked back into my seat when she gripped my left arm. "What?!"
Her eyes widened at my outburst, while she still had a scowl etched across her face. "Don't shout at me. I just care"
Now she really was hurt.
"Yes, okay, it's a woman. But I don't want to talk about it because I don't even know what's going through my head right now" I dropped my head into my hands from my confession, and revelled in the comfort she gave by just placing her hand on my shoulder. We were always close.
"She hurt you?"
I shook my head. "No. She's my bosses daughter. Right now I just need to figure out what I want"
She nodded. "I understand, I'll go inside to mom".
I sat and thought about the other night again. She hadn't answered me, instead she left. She'd practically ran out there and when I got downstairs her boss informed me she left. After confronting me about the no touching policy that he'd witnessed me break, I explained I was more than a customer and payed him. Ironically, I didn't want her to get the sack but I also didn't want her working there. I just had to suck it up. Although I kept saying it to myself, she wasn't mine so I couldn't control what she did. Not that I would control her anyway, but I could at least express my views.
I sucked in a sharp breath and told myself to stop thinking about it. Hopefully she would come around.
