A Series of poems about a person's toxic relationship with someone.
Steal
I wanted to steal.
Steal that wretched heart of yours.
Not so that you could feel,
The pain I felt when you tore me apart -
Oh, no,
I just want to make you my very next meal.
... Cause you're real delicious, aren't you?
Cause you're real sweet, my bitter darling.
Don't you regret ever stealing my soul?
Spice
You're a real deal,
Aren't ya?
Filled with spice and life,
All for health and care.
And you gave me that ginger soup,
Told me you love me.
But I knew inside,
You just wanted to burn me down with your spice.
You've changed
Oh, I'd love to say how you've
Changed.
How you've hurt me and scarred me,
And watched me wither.
But alas, my love,
You've always been this way.
My brave, dark, star,
It's my turn to say goodbye.
The strength I have
You made me realise that it
Did not matter how deep the knife was
Plunged,
In me.
What mattered was the strength I have,
To pull that knife
Out,
Of me.
Waiting for you
I've waited so long for you.
But now that you're gone,
I don't have to wait anymore.
I'm sorry a million times
Maybe I'm lost,
You'll say.
