THIRD PERSON POV

In the Sunnydale Park after dusk, the carousel turns slowly in the light breeze. The only person there is a boy sitting on the jungle gym, waiting for his ride home.

"C'mon mum. She's always late." he mutters to himself. Behind him a slow figure approaches.

"Are you lost?" the woman asks and the little boy shakes his head.

"No. My mum's just supposed to pick me up is all." he replies quickly, climbing out of the jungle gym.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" the woman asks and the little boy shakes his head again.

"No, thank you." he replies, backing away slightly.

"My mummy used to sing me to sleep at night." the woman replies, slowly walking around the gym, beginning to sing. "Run and catch. The lamb is caught in the blackberry patch..." she trails off from singing. "...she had the sweetest voice. What will your mummy sing when they find your body." she turns to look at him and he backs away nervously.

"I'm no supposed to talk to people." he replies shakily.

"Oh. Well, i'm not a person, see, so that's just..." between her and the boy, Angel appears.

"Run home." Angel says to the boy sternly who hesitates only for a moment before sprinting away. The woman watches him run away in dismay as Angel takes a breathe and turns to face her.

"My Angel!" she exclaims.

"Hello, Drusilla." he replies and Drusilla begins to slowly approach.

"Do you remember the song mummy used to sing me? Pretty." she smiles sadistically and Angel nods.

"I remember." he replies blandly as Drusilla senses something.

"Yes, you do." she replies.

"Drusilla, leave her. I'm offering you that chance. Take Spike and get out." he orders and Drusilla looks up at him.

"Or you'll hurt me?" she whines and Angel looks down at the ground. "No. No, you can't. Not anymore."

"If you don't leave it'll go badly. For all of us." he replies sternly.

"My dear boy's gone all away, hasn't he? To her?" Drusilla asks and Angel looks us. On the roof of a building nearby, both Camila and Buffy stalk along the edge.

"Who?" Angel asks.

"The girl. The slayer." Drusilla replies quickly before sensing something else. "And the other." she growls. "Your heart stinks of the slayer. Poor little thing." Drusilla whines, putting a hand on his chest. "She has no idea what's in store." Buffy watches over the edge, seeing them stand close together. Camila stands next to her best friend, watching in horror.

"This can't go on, Drusilla. It's gotta end." Angel states. Drusilla tilts her head up, reaching up for a kiss.

"Oh no, my pet. This is just the beginning." she drawls, pulling away with out kissing him before sending him an evil smile. She slowly begins to walk away and Buffy swallows hard. Angel watches Drusilla go for another moment, before turning to leave also. Camila reaches out to Buffy's elbow, seeing her shake but Buffy pulls away her arm, steps away from the edge of the roof and storms off. Camila turns back to where Angel was and feels her heart ache.
