Dangerous love (incomplete)

Ok class, see you tomorrow’ Mrs. Thompen said as the bell rang and everyone was packing up. Jake packed up and left without saying goodbye. I did the same and left. The rest of the school day was so boring. I was glad when it reached home time. I walked silently to the parking until Lisa approached me.

‘I have been looking for you. Why did you ditch me?” Lisa gave me one of her very annoying looks that made her nose look so huge.

The last thing I wanted to do was to hang out with her at this time. I felt so worn out and needed a shower.

 “I…am… I had a lot of work to catch up on, so I had to try and schedule time for them. Want to go home, am really tired”  

You know what; I think you have been acting very weirdly. It all started when you bumped into Jake! Your mum says that you’ve missed diner and breakfast twice and you always want to get home straight from school, plus, I feel like you always ignore me. I just hope you are not in love with Jake because I still love him.

Morgan’s heart almost fell off with Lisa’s last words. She…in love with Jake….a part of her wished for it while some part of her hoped it wasn’t true.

‘Hey guys, we are going to the mall. Want to come along?’ Jenny asked. She was with some of their friends: peter, Curtis, Amanda and carol.

Sure, we’d love to. Lisa replied in excitement as she entered Amanda’s buggati. I watched her getting and didn’t think of doing the same until Kevin approached them. His red cap was worn inside out and he looked so  happy. His laces were untied and made him look so untidy but he never cared, he was Kevin.

‘hey guys, guess what? Ethan is throwing this bash today starting at 5:30 till 2:00 in the morning and we are all invited’. He said with a sharp grin on his face as he swayed the invitation paper in the air. Ethan was one of jakes friends, just as retarded as Jake was and to make it worse, they all thought the same. Am not surprised that he actually invited me because I hang out with one of the cool clods in school and anyone would love to ask me out apart from Jake. I mean, I am beautiful, a better word would be adorable, I have a nice tan despite being Scottish, my dark hair complements my perfect oval shaped face and my lips, they are so tiny and cherry colored, I wouldn’t want to talk about my nose which looks like a potato. Unlike Lisa, I have better shape and taste, I don’t go for guys like Jake, they make me sick, plus, I really hate him.

‘Cool, am in’ jenny said as she applied her strawberry flavored lip gloss. ‘what about you guys?’ she added looking at her other friends and they all nodded apart from me and I didn’t think about going.

‘Hey girl, what’s up with you, you are becoming boring’ I hated the way Amanda addressed questions, it made my tummy feel sick

‘I have a lot of homework to do’ I lied. ‘I also need to tidy up my room and hepl my mom in the kitchen’ again another big lie.

‘Of course not you liar’ Lisa screamed as she dropped her bag to the floor. She was shouting at me for lying and it’s sad to say that I kept her as the closest out of all my friends, I seriously hated her guts.

‘Since when do you help in the kitchen? I was at your place this morning and your room was all tidy remember? What’s up with you these days? Uhh… ever since you ran into joke, you changed so much, I just hope you are not trying to make a move on him’. Lisa was almost in tears and jenny pulled her close to hug her. I felt so bad. I wanted to speak but I couldn’t. Tears were burning in my eyes. What could I do? She was my best friend and she noticed I had changed and thought it was because I wanted Jake. I had no choice but to go with her to prove my point.

‘Fine Lisa, ill go just to show you that I am not into Jake at all’ I said as I got into the car. My heart almost sank when I said those words. The real reason I did not want to go to the party because Jake would be there, it would be uncomfortable but I had to do it for Lisa, my pathetic non-caring “best friend”.
