I woke up in a sky blue room. The ceiling had wallpapers of cars, footballers, celebrities and fighters. Right before the bed was a huge brown vanished wardrobe with double doors. This place looked nothing like my room but looked a little familiar. I was covered in a blue sheet and was on the right side of a bed that looked like a king's bed. I got up and my feet met the baby blue smooth carpet on the floor. I still didn't notice where I was until I saw a picture on the bed side, a cute tiny picture framed in gold with one huge heart shape on the left side of it.
I took the picture to get a closer view, the faces of the two little kids looked familiar, a black haired little girl with pink lips, dark almond eyes, creamy and faire colored skin and she was in pink. The boy had green emerald eyes, darkish hair, fine nose and pink lips...it hit me suddenly, that was Jake, and the little girl was me. We were about three in kindergarten when the picture was taken by Jake's mom, and he's kept it for this long. The picture still looked as if it were printed out two days ago, well taken care of, beneath the picture, there were tiny writings in black saying "I'll always love you, Morgan". Jake's hand writings. I felt the urge to cry once more but it al disappeared when Jake walked into the room
He was shirtless and had a blue towel wrapped around his waist, I could see his abs clearly and they were a hundred percent tempting, his hair half wet and messy in a sexy way, man that guy is hot! I quickly returned the little framed picture to where it belonged and turned back to him.
'Hy, how you feeling? He said putting away the extra towel he was using to dry his hair. He looked at me with innocent eyes that only reflected love and passion together with such an adorable smile, walking towards the bed. I didn't know what to say. Of course I wasn't ok; I will never ok know that my days are numbered. Instead, I said something that wasn't to be said at all
'I want to go home. Now.' The tone of my voice was so harsh that the expression on his face changed to something unread.
'Do you remember those days when we would do everything together Morgan?' he said reaching over to the little picture. Why was he trying to change the subject? 'Mmhh...you used to be such a snob and always wanted to play rapunzel, you're lucky I was always your prince'-
'I really want to go'. I cut him short and without gazing at me, he put down the picture carefully and headed towards his wardrobe. What he was saying was completely true. I loved playing rapunzel and he was always the prince, my hero. Thinking about my childhood memories made me think that we were an equal, I mean, we fit, like a puzzle put together.
'You might be hungry; you slept the whole night with an empty stomach. I fixed something for you. Do you want to have it here or downstairs?' he turned to me, his eyes were sweetly questioning, waiting for an answer. He was trying to keep me in and I didn't want to stay any longer, I wish I could but I couldn't. he even prepared breakfast for me!
'Seriously Jake, I'-
'I suppose you want it downstairs, let me just set the table for you and please come cause its your favorite.' His tone wasn't like the tone of a devastated person but of a determined person. He picked his orange shorts and walked out of the room. What was I supposed to do?, its clear enough that he wanted me to stay but I couldn't. then an idea came to me, I could sneak out without him knowing. I quickly stood up and headed for the door, not caring to look in the mirror. There was some kind of noise from the living room as I went downstairs, only to find Kyle! My heart almost leapt out. Kyle loved me, so did Jake, and now I had to be stuck under the same roof with both of them. What if Jake found out?
I sneaked into the kitchen, feeling relieved that he didn't spot me but my relief wore out when I saw Jake standing there. 'I knew you'd come. You wouldn't miss McDonalds for the world, would you? He said moving closer to me. He still had that killer smile of his. It hadn't worn off yet after what I told him.
'Thanks...maybe some other day, bye' I stormed out of the kitchen, not wanting to look back. That's when Kyle saw me but I didn't care. I just headed for the door and in a few seconds, I was past the front porch when an arm grabbed me making me turn back, my hair swaying swiftly and landing on my face.
'Morgan you can't I'm not going to let you'-
'yes I can, watch me' I cut off Jake as he loosened his grip on me. This was my chance to get away. I ran as fast as I could. I was actually fair in running but I knew he would get to me. Thank god some cars came by and slowed him down as I turned around a corner. I was stopped by the annoying stitch in my left side stomach, that's when he caught up with me and grabbed me by the arm again.
'Stop all this madness and listen to me. You can't stay home alone. If you have to go home, I'll go with you. Morgan as long as I'm alive, nothing will ever happen to you, I will fight for you always. God knows what Lisa might do to you and I wouldn't be able to bear loosing you, you're a strong part on me, please listen...' his words shook every part of me that existed, my fingers completely went numb and the last thing I wanted to do was cry my heart out and tell him how much I loved him.
'no, you cant come with me, if she want a fight, I'll fight her'. I tried untangling my arm from him and ended up on the road way where I was almost hit when he pulled me, car horns making me deaf
'that's it, I've had enough. We're going home, to my place!
The next thing I remember is being lifted to his shoulders like a cave man would carry his woman to protect her from enemies. My face was facing his shirtless back while my legs hanged to his front. Without thinking, I started hitting him on the back with my hands, telling him to let go but no matter how hard I hit, he just walked fast, everyone on the street staring at us.
Kyle was standing on the front porch confused and Jake just passed him. He got in and carefully put me on the biggest couch and turned away but didn't walk. That's when Kyle walked in and gave Jake a deadly look, if looks could kill, Jake would be dead. He moved closer to him when Jake turned to face him and that's when the door bell rang.
'what the hell is she doing at your place?' Kyle's voice was harsh and cold, full of anger and bitterness. Jake just looked at him and went to answer the door. To my surprise, he opened it and walked away, not saying a word or two. That's when a beautiful young girl walked in with a huge smile on her face, blonde curled long hair falling over her shoulders. She was in black denim shorts, purple tank top, black shades and black sexy heels, on her hands was a purse.
