Amanda drove us carefully to Ethan’s place. No one in the car was speaking until Kevin broke the awkward silence to talk to Curtis about an upcoming football match. The place was silent again. We arrived at Ethan’s and there were so many people. I got out of the car and Lisa followed me. We had a love-hate relationship ever since we were four. She walked beside me as we came across cute guys; we blushed as we passed shirtless good looking dudes around the pool area. I spotted Jake! He was shirtless and I admit he looked amazing; his packs looked so hard that I was tempted to touch them. He was smiling with his friends until he saw me watching him and his grin turned into a serious face. Lisa immediately spotted me looking at him and gave me a wicked smile then ran to him. She actually fell on him and they fell into the pool together. He really didn’t have any plans of catching her, I thought as I grinned.

I walked away trying to find the rest of my friends until I saw jenny and went over to her.

‘Mmm… this tastes amazing’ she said as she handed me some marijuana. ‘No thanks, I don’t take marijuana’ I said as I poured a glass of juice. I was never a fan of drugs or alcohol and never even tried them out. My dad died when I was only two years old from too much alcohol. He was an alcoholic who wouldn’t stop drinking. Being the only child, my mum had been very keen on me when it came to such things. My head felt heavy, I was so tired that I just collapsed onto the couch in the living room.

I woke up to the sound of loud music from the giant speakers Ethan owned. I checked the time and it was midnight. Mom was going to kill me, I hadn’t informed her about the party and to make things worse, I didn’t have my phone with me since it was dead and was all the way home. I tried looking for my car keys only to realize that I didn’t bring my car with me, it was at home as well and I had to come by the horrible bus this morning. I walked out of the living room and went outside trying to find Amanda to ask her if she could take me home. As I approached the backyard, I heard voices, two peoples voices, it sounded like jakes and Lisa’s. They were arguing. I moved closer and tried to peep. Lisa was crying, she was begging Jake to come back to her. Jake on the other hand was gazing at the stars.

‘You know what Lisa, I am done with you, I never even liked-

No, don’t say it Jake, I am your one and only girl and I love you so much. If you leave me, ill die.

Well I don’t care. Jake said as he walked away in a stone face
