Chapter Three

In the morning I made myself toast, my parents left at dawn to go to a city three hours away. They left a note, explaining to go grocery shopping and that they won't be home until late. I smiled to myself once I read the note, some alone time, beside me going to my session to Dr. Howell.

I took a quick shower before going checking on how much I got on the EBT, taking my dad's old car. I don't have a driver's license but none of the cops care unless I'm driving recklessly. I'll go to grocery shopping after my session with Dr. Howell, it's only an a forty-five minute drive to her house. She insists that it should be at her home, we can talk as if it wasn't some crappy meeting to see how insane I'm getting. Because let's face it, I'm never getting better. In fact I'm only getting worse. Less blackouts, I know exactly what I'm doing and whome I'm harming. And I like it. I like seeing their reaction, the fear in their eyes.

Tomorrow I start school, wondering if people are already talking and what their reactions will be.

The speakers were on full blast as I sped down the road, the whole car shaking from the bass. In the corner of my eye I saw an old picture hanging from the mirror, him and mom on their wedding day. That's probably the worst day ever, I think dad only proposed because he knocked her up. Her baby bump was visible through the dress, even her swelling. But swelling is always noticeable...sadly.

I parked in front of Dr. Howell's house, seeing her come out on her porch to greet me. "Y/n!" She smiles, patting me on the back. "Come on in, I made some lemonade and cookies if that's okay."

"Great, I'm starving."

We seated down in her home office, happily munching on our cookies before beginning. "I know you've only been out for a day but I just want to know what all happened in the last twenty four hours."

"Nothing much, stayed in my room, went to a restaurant I used to go too. They were happy to have me back, got into a figh-"

She stopped me, raising up her hand. "Fight? You mean a physical fight?"

"No." I lied. "This boy though thay it'd be funny to call me Blood Mary and asked if it's true I stabbed someone in the eyes. And then he mentioned about me never being loved, and I lost it." The last part slipped out.

"Lost it how?"

"Er-I punched him in the face." I lied again, now starting to think, I should've done that as well. "David wasn't mad at me, he kicked the boys out. And that's all that happened...beside my mom finding out I stole a twenty from her purse."

"Y/n!" She yelled like a angry mom.

"Relax, they told me that they were going out to eat and eat whatever I want. There was only crackers and cheese and two week old milk. What was I supposed to do? Starve to death? And while my mom was yelling, I told her I stole for survival and she'd understand if she cared. Then I told her I can't wait until she dies. Which is true. My parents are kind of like Harry Potter aunt and uncle. Petunia, ugh my mother could be her twin." I grimanced.

Dr. Howell stared at me with an unamused look, scribbling in her notebook. "Did you see the new I sent you?"

"Yes, thanks a lot by the way."

"Welcome. Now, I have a question and don't go ballistic." Here we go. "Have you tried contact that Finn guy?"

"No.." She gave me a stern look. "Honestly! I just stalked his...profile...more than I should've."

"Y/n!" She growled. "I'd advise you to not come in contact with him. It'll only get worse between y'all. I'm saying this for your own good. Don't try to speak to Malcolm either since they're best friends." My eyes rolled to the back of my head as I slam my head against the wall. "Stop that!"

"God you're so controlling. Your suppose to give people advice, help them out-not tell them what to do."

"I'm not telling you what to do. I'm just suggesting...even though you never listen."

I winked. "You know me so well." I quietly ate another cookie, burping slightly. She gave me a disapproving look, continuing our session. It only goes on for a hour but it feels like three.  "Hey, how've you been since I left?"

"Normal, weird at work to not see you and your weird humor. But it's nice to get someone back on track."

"Ah, so you've did missed me!"

"Alittle." She confessed.

I mocked hurt, placing a hand over my heart. "A little? That's horrible."

Adri Note
I would write reuniting with Finn on this chapter but I'm TIRED and have band camp tomorrow. And it will be band camp when I post this.

And I just decided to make Dr. Howell and your character close. She needs someone to speak too.

Peace✌
