CHAPTER NINE: New Reality

Jessica's Pov

Everything changed after that night, Kira my supposed mom told me everything. How she fell in love with a human at the age of 16 and had me but had to go back and lead her pack after her Dad died.

'Your father wouldn't let me have you nor see you, after I showed him what I was' she said but for some reason I didn't believe her. The Man I knew was the kindest and most understanding person but people do change; I will never really know his side of the story anyway.

I layed on my bed still unable to accept my new reality, everything happened so fast; my mom, werewolves, everything I believed was altered. My alarm rang, it was 6am-I found it hard to sleep after the revelation cause reality now felt like a dream. I sluggishly dragged myself out of bed, took a shower and got dressed for school.

'Jessica' Claire called walking up to me

'I was wondering if you'd like to move in with Kira...your mom' she asked, I knew that was coming

'Umm...could I just stay here a little while until I adjust to everthing' I asked

'Sure dear, take all the time you need' she said giving me a hug

'Thanks, see you later' I said walking out

'Hey you' Josie said poking my hand as I stepped outta my car

'Hey' I said dryly

'Why the long face' she said mimicking my look I think

'Nothing...just tired, I couldn't sleep' I told her and just as we were about to leave the parking lot...

'Mi senora' guy from the park said wrapping his arms around her, I guess his also a wolf cause he was present at my initiation

'Zach meet Jess, my best girl' she said sweeping her hands my way

'Jess meet Zach, my mate and the love of my life' she said planting a kiss on his lips

'Finally...I know his name' I sarcastically

'A pleasure to officially meet you Jess, though we've met before...umm sorry for my lack of courtesy the first time we met' he said with a smile

'I'll think about it' I said and we all laughed

'Please do...' he said as we headed to homeroom

I couldn't wait for it to be math period, I really wanted to see Drew; I couldn't say why but for some odd reason I felt safe in that stalkers arms

'Why isn't he here yet' I asked Josie checking my time for the hundredth time, twenty five minutes of his lecture time was already gone

'I don't know, but hey; a day without maths won't be the worst thing in the world' she said fiddling with her phone

'Good morning class, sorry I'm a little late' he said as he walked in, placing his bag on his table

'God! am I happy to see you' I said mentally

'Really?' I heard Josie say

'What...how did you...?'

'Shhhh' she said placing a finger on her lips

He seemed distracted throughout the whole lesson, he forgot a formula wrong, kept saying some inaudible things. He got all sweaty and anxious; is he sick' I thought to myself. The bell rang and everyone rushed out 'I'll meet up' I said to Josie as she stood up

'Hurry or I'll be eating for two' she said with a grin, waving two fingers in my face

'Hi' I said shyly

'Hey, what...what can I do for you today?' he managed to ask

'Are you ok?' I asked staring at him, he couldn't even look at me

'I'm fine' he said getting up

'I was wondering if I could talk to you?' I asked biting my lower lip

'It's not a good time, I have to go' he said walking past his table

'I won't take much of your time...please' I said holding his arm as he was about to open the door

He stopped in his tracks and turned around to face me; I heard his nose make sniffling sounds as he took a step closer, he leaned forward brushing my neck with his lips...I just stood there, frozen!

He began planting little kisses on my neck but then it got intense, he pulled me closer literally sucking on my skin and I have to admit it felt good; I felt his teeth graze my skin and he instantly withdrew back.

'I...I...I should go' he said and dashed out of the class as if pursued by a ghost

Drew's Pov

'I couldn't find the pills you gave me...I almost marked her mom' I told Monica (my Mom) pacing back and forth

'But you didn't and that's what matters' she said blocking me

'You don't understand, the effect she has on me has been amplified' I said

'What do you mean?' she asked

'She's been initiated' I told her running my hands through my hair

'Then you have to tell her now' My Dad said walking in from the balcony, he'd just got back from his post

'We don't have any more time to spare...she turns 18 next month and you know what that means' My mom said with a raised brow holding up my chin

'I'll try' I said as I slumped into a chair by the wall

I sat at the balcony watching the sun set; everything reminded me of her' she was all I could think of, she was all I needed but I was terrified by the thought of her rejecting me.

'Porthos' Carlos said snapping me out of my thoughts

'Aramis' I said as we did our special handshake

'Nice to see you home man, it's been suffocating here without you' he said taking a seat next to me

'How's Maggie' I asked

'She's ok, we're expecting a little one' He told me with a look of fulfillment

'Thats awesome, I envy you Carl' I said with a faint smile

'You've got everything we ever dreamed of...a mate that loves you, a baby, you've got it all' I added with a sigh

'Are you kidding me man' you are the son of Robert Fin, next in line to be Alpha; everyone wants to be you...If Athos was here, he'd be proud of you' he said

Athos whose real name is Derrick was my brother, we were more than brothers we were bestfriends; together with Carlos we called ourselves the three Musketeers but he got killed in an ambush and things were never the same again...

'He would have been the perfect Alpha' I said as the memories flooded through

'Funny, he'd have said the same thing about you' he said looking ahead at the now dark clouds
