CHAPTER FOURTEEN: I Think You're My Mate

What do you mean you couldn't find her, you were supposed to watch over her' I yelled
'I'm sorry I left her for a little while and she was gone, we searched the entire area but there was no sign of her' Josie explained just then Zach walked in 'I found this by the road side, I believe it's Jessica's' Zach said handing the phone over to me
'This is not good' I said shaking my head, my phone buzzed, it was Kira

'He is his twin, how did you not know this 14 years ago!' she asked
'She pushed us all away, how was I to know?' I retorted as she glared at me
'Is he still in Paris?' She asked, I hadn't told her he came home
'He is...he came back but I told him to leave' I told her
'No, I need him here' she countered
'We have a little problem though... Jessica is missing' I informed her of the recent development
'I see... don't bother looking for her, I know who she's with' she said with a mischievous smirk
'Just see to it that Derrick gets here' she ordered, dismissing me

Jessica's Pov
I walked out of the room and ran down stairs and out of the house, I couldn't believe he lied to me. Everything I know is just one big lie, what was I to believe?
'Dear, I take it that he's told you' His mom enquired and I nodded in response
'I know it's all too much to take, but whatever your decision is...just know you'll always have a home here' your father knew that too' she said and left
'My father knew that too...what...?' before I could ask what she meant by that, she was already out of sight
I walked on over to a lake a little farther away from the house, bent over and stared at my reflection in the water, I didn't even look like myself anymore, I had become someone else.
'Why did you have to go Daddy?' I asked hugging myself as the tears ran down my cheek
I sat by the lake trying to make sense out of everything that had happened to me, I didn't know when I slept off
'Jessie girl' Dad called out to me
'Daddy, you are here?' I asked shocked to see him here
'Follow me' he said and I did as told, we walked on for what seemed like hours, he said nothing and neither did I. We stopped when we got to a house in the woods, we walked in and there he was with an older woman
'You must not let Esther have the key' the older woman said
'I'll protect it till my last breathe' he told her as he placed a golden ball into his inner jacket pocket. We walked out but we weren't out in the woods, we were at our house ; he walked in and went over to my room where I was being nursed by aunt Meg
'Hey, how's my babe doing... why don't you go ahead and rest, I'll take it from here' he said to her, she handed me over to him and walked out
'Heyy... I've got something I need you to keep safe for me' he said as he brought the golden ball out of his jack-pocket, I grabbed onto it and suddenly the house got filled up with water, he was gone, I tried to find him but he was gone; the water however kept increasing till it got to my neck, I swam over to the door and tried opening it but it was stuck I kept pulling on the door knob but I couldn't hold my breath anymore and I began drowning...

Drew's Pov
I kept pacing back and forth, hoping she'd come back but she didn't. It got dark and I couldn't take it anymore, I went out to look for her
'Have you seen Jessica' I asked Raphael as he was out on day watch
'Earlier I spotted her heading over to the lake, haven't seen her since though' he said with a shrug. I went over to the lake but she wasn't there, I could scent her but I couldn't see her anywhere; just then a the water bubbled
'Jessica! ' I screamed and jumped into the lake, luckily the lake wasn't deep I soon spotted her and carried her out but she'd already had too much water.
'Jessica' come on you can't do this to me' I said applying pressure on her upper chest but she just layed there lifeless
'Come on! ' I screamed applying more pressure but there was no response, I finally gave up as I layed crying on her lifeless body
Just then she gasped and coughed the water out of her system
'Jessica! ' I said holding on to her face as she tried to catch her breath
'I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything... I don't care if you accept me but don't do this again' I said trying to fight back the tears
'Drew' she said weakly gesturing that I come closer, I took my ear to her mouth level
'I think you're my mate too' she whispered into my ear and grinned weakly
I placed my forehead on hers and smiled in relief
‘Lets go get you dried up Wolfie’ I said carrying her up bridal style as I stood up
I took her up to my room, I turned on the shower and gave her some space
‘I'll be down in living room, just link up if you need me’ I told her and headed out to the living room but later met up with Carlos and the other guys in the game room
‘Seems like beauty finally accepted the beast’ Carlos said wiggling his eyebrows
‘What’ I asked playing dumb
‘Oh come on, we all saw you come in all lovey-dovey’ Carlos said with a grin
‘And dripping wet’ Ralph added with a wink
‘You naughty bastards, shut up！’ I said with smile that soon formed into a blush much to my embarassment as the guys all came down on me
‘Drew！’ I heard her call to me, I pushed Ralph off of me and ran up to my room like one practicing for the olympics
‘Drew’ she called out once more as I walked, I stood by the door panting, trying to catch my breath
‘Are you ok？Are you hurt’ I asked from the other side of the as she was still in the bathroom
‘I need your help in here’ She requested, walked over and just before I opened the door...
‘Wait...uh I need you to close your eyes first’
‘Seriously...？’ I asked
‘Extremely！’ she added, I closed my eyes shot before walking in
‘Now what, I can't help you blindly’ I complained
‘I'll guide you, you know the handle where you hang your towel, I need you to walk towards its direction grab the towel and give it to me’ she instructed
‘You know I can't see shit, so how do I do that’ I asked
‘Come on, its your bathroom...fine, turn left’ I did as she said
‘Take a few steps up, its by your left, no your other left’ she corrected
‘You mean my right’ I said with a chuckle as I got the towel
‘Now just turn left a little and give it to me’ I gave it to her as guided to
‘Now open your eyes’ When I opened my eyes I couldn't help the laughter that escaped me
‘This is not funny, I've been stuck here for almost an hour help me out’ She said, one of her braids got entangled in the shower curtain
‘Wow, so what do I get for helping you’ I asked
‘I don't know, whatever you want...untangle me already’ she pouted, I got her hair out but just as she was about stepping out she slipped, I felt her heart skip and in a flash I spun around and caught her, we just stood there staring into the depths of our being, I took in all her features, following the water that trickled down her face; I swept her off of her feet in one swift move...
'You're so clumsy' I said with a smirk as she frowned in disagreement. I placed her steadily and carefully on the bed, like an egg I didn't want to risk breaking
'That was so unnecessary, I can walk you know'
'Really, but I every time I let you out of my sight you're either drowning or falling' I said pulling up closer to her
'I can take care of myself...' She said with a shaky voice
'Am I making you nervous Wolfie?' I asked inching my my face closer to hers, I could feel her warm breathe on my skin
'No...' she said more like a whisper as her heart kept racing up and down
'Yeah?' I queried as my lips collided onto hers, she gasped and I skillfully inserted my tongue in, exploring every angle, I pulled her closer as my hands went up her thighs stopping inches away from her core; she ran her fingers through my hair as I pulled away from her cherry like lips, tracing her neckline with imprints of my kisses, stopping just atop her cleavage. I pulled away and got up...
'Dinner is ready' I said with a smirk and walked out
