Kat's POV

Walking in the room, I look around nervously, as MJ and Ned wave me over.

"What's up? It's fun right!" Ned cheers and MJ takes a bite out of a cookie.

"It's a bit overwhelming, to be honest," I admit, swaying to the rhythm of the music. "Where's Gwen and Harry?"

"Gwen? Oh, she's with Cindy Moon." Ned informs.

"Really? Gwen and Cindy? I'm happy for them." I smile.

"And Harry's somewhere here," MJ replies.

"Ah. So what do you do at Homecoming?" I ask.

"Dance. Eat. Have fun. Vape." Ned replies.

"Vape? What?" I ask.

"What? A bunch of Seniors boys just got busted for vaping in the bathrooms. Apparently Brad told on them." Ned replies.

"That was just so random." I shake my head.

"What's up gang! How's your first Homecoming Kat?" Harry asks, swinging an arm across me and Ned's shoulder. MJ just watches us, uninterested.

"It's nice. A bit overwhelming." I reply.

"Great. Well, Gwen and Cindy are having a lot of fun." Harry says, pointing to the pair, as they disappear into the crowds of kids. "So don't bother to find them. See you all later!" Harry leaves as soon as he comes, and starts forming a conga line.

"That's interesting." I comment. MJ taps on our shoulder, as Peter arrives in the room. Ned waves and Michelle gives Peter the finger. I give him a smile, and Peter approaches Liz.

"What are you doing?" Ned asks MJ.

"I'm just looking to see if he's gonna ditch her like he did at the Decathlon." MJ says. We stare at Peter and Liz as they exchange a short conversation. Peter then suddenly hurries away, leaving Liz in the middle of the dance floor. We stare at them, craning our necks as Peter runs past us.

"Um, that was expected." I start.

"What is he doing?" MJ asks.

"I'm going after him." Ned runs out after him.

"What the heck? Is this something that regularly happening during school dances?" I ask.

"No. Ditching is not normal." MJ replies. I stare down at my bracelet, contemplating on whether should I use it.

"Should we go after them?" I ask.

"You can, but I'm staying. I'd suggest you do, but I'm not your mom.

"Alright." I run out of the room, and as I run outside, I accidentally run into Ned.

"Kat, the guy with the wings is Liz's dad." Ned says.

"Wait, what?" I ask, as I follow Ned into the library. Ned sets up some computers, as I watch confusedly. Ned takes a call, and sets it on speakerphone, setting it on a desk. I crane my neck to look at the computer light up.

"Hello, Ned? Hey, hey, hey, hey, can you hear me?" Peter asks.

"Go for Ned." Ned nods.

"Ned, I need you to track my phone for me." Peter says.

"Yeah, but where is it?" Ned asks as he starts furiously typing on the computers. "Oh, genius move. Okay, he just passed the GameStop on Jackson Avenue."

"Hey, where are the headlights on this thing? I'm in Flash's car." Peter informs. Ned rolls his chair to another computer, and he starting typing again.

"I'll pull the specs." Ned informs.

"Okay, you're on speakerphone." Peter replies.

"You stole Flash's car. Awesome." Ned gushes.

"Yeah, it's awesome. It's awe... Whoa! Get out of the way, get out of the way! Move! Move!" Peter yells.

"Peter, are you okay?" Ned asks.

"I've never really driven before. Only with May in parking lots. This is a huge step up..." Peter answers.

"Hey, have you gotten through to Happy yet?" Peter asks.

"Yeah. I'm working on it. I just gotta backdoor the phone system." Ned rapidly types, then twirls in his chair. "Guy in the chair."

"The code is 11223316." I reply.

"Thanks." Ned types in the computer, and he's let in.

"Don't you dare tell anyone." I warn him.

"I won't." Ned promises. Happy pops up on Ned's computer screen, as I step to the side.

"Takeoff in nine minutes. Hello? Hello? Who is this?" Happy asks.

"Uh... Mr. Happy, it's Ned." Ned says.

"Who?" Happy narrows his eyes.

"I'm an associate of Peter Parker. Got something very important to tell you-" Ned starts.

"You gotta be shitting me." Happy's screen goes off.

"Damn." Ned sighs.

"Hey, Ned, how we coming on with those headlights?" Peter asks.

"Uh... Round knob to the left of the steering wheel, turn clockwise." Ned informs.

"Left. Okay. Okay, perfect. So where's my phone now?" Peter asks.

"Um... He stopped in an old industrial park in Brooklyn." Ned informs.

"What? That makes no sense. I thought he said he was going out of town!" Peter asks.

"I'm going after him. Give me the coordinates." I say.

"47 longitude, 26 latitude." Ned replies. (This is made up okay? It ain't real) I run out of the room, and as I exit the building, I tap the M once more. Using my powers to push me up, I quickly fly up, and lose myself in the clouds.

"Alright, um. I think I may have an AI here, but I don't know who... Tuesday? Wednesday? Ari?" I muse. "Hey FRIDAY?" I ask, but there's no sound. "What was it... oh yeah! Hey Eliza?" I ask.

"Hello, Kat. Where do you want me to go?" Eliza asks.

"Uh, 47 longitude, 26 latitude, Brooklyn." I reply.

"Dive down now." Eliza orders.

"Thanks Eliza." I dive down, and see a building collapse to the left of me. Oh god I hope it's not the one.

"Turn left. The collapsed building is the one you are looking for." Eliza answers.

"Oh god no." I mutter, flying down. I land on the dirt road leading up to it, and run up to the destroyed building. "Peter? Peter? Where are you?" I yell, pressing the M again. My suit removes itself, and I look around.

"Hello! Hello! Please. Hey, hey, please. I'm down here. I'm down here. I'm stuck. I'm stuck. I can't move. I can't..." Peter yells.

"Peter? Oh my god, just wait there! I'll help you. "Eliza, search for Peter Parker."

"You are right in front of him." Eliza says.

"Oh gosh. Um. Just stay there Peter, I'll lift the rubble!" I use my powers, silver streams of magic lifting up the rubble. I deposit it somewhere else, knowing happily that Ross can't track me. It's not on the news.

"Kat. Oh gosh. You're here. Thanks." Peter pants, as I help him up.

"Yeah, I am." I say.

"I'm so sorry for ignoring you, I was just-" Peter starts.

"It's okay Pete." I laugh. A large creaking sound was heard, and suddenly I am snatched up by the Vulture dude. "Woah woah woah! Can't we solve this civilly-" Vulture drops me quickly, around a 50ft drop, if I'm not mistaken.

"KAT!" Peter yells.

"Ohmigosh what the heck dude!" I scream, hurlting toward the ground.
