Chapter 2
I woke from a dreamless sleep by the sound of a door opening. I'm not one to have to understand where I am when I wake, I never forget. Not knowing who it is, and not trusting anyone to thing but my instincts and Baby; I tighten my grip on the gun, warm from my hand there all night. Bolting up I point the gun straight at my possible attackers head. A man in a black muscle tee and blue jeans is startled by my waking so fast.
"Well it's nice to meet you too!" He says and raises his by his shoulder in defense.
"Jesus, what are you doing in my room!" I take a deep breath.
"Agent Clint Barton." He says and walks over to me in the bed to shake hands.
I lay down and pull the covers over my head.
"Unless you want me to hate you forever, I'd do introductions after I've had coffee." I warn.
"Okay then, get up, get dressed and get some coffee. Then ask Tash or Capt to take you to the range." The man said before exiting, then yelling
"DAMNIT NATASHA! WHYD YOU GIVE HER A LOADED GUN?!" Down the hall. I chuckle and check to see if it even is loaded, I was so tired I never did. It is, wow she really trusts me, or she doesn't care.
I groan and wake up. When I actually look around the room I'm not surprised. White walls, white dresser, white bed, white everything. A white couch sat across from the door, along with a white chair facing towards the bathroom that had some black accenting tiles. A white dresser sat on the same wall as the white closet doors, only the dresser, along with the couch, were on a raised platform The only thing not white was the large tv in front of the bed, in a sunken shelf in the wall. The room was large and felt empty with minimal furniture for the size.
I get up and lock the door. Then I began to strip down, unfazed by my own nudity I get dressed in front of the dresser mirror. I put on a black cami tank top, a red plaid shirt and dark jeans with my black leather combat boots. I lazily braid my layered hair and toss it over my shoulder. Then I noticed a black and red bandana on the white dresser by my bed I had yet to notice. Upon inspection, it was two bandanas that concealed the phone Stark gave me yesterday. It opened instantly and I saw a text.
"Tony: Want to get some coffee before you have to do some Barton bonding time?"
"Keegan: sure, where should I meet you?" I reply, I tie the black bandana around Baby's neck, it looks cute.
"Tony: I'm outside your door actually." And while, I read that text, a knock came from my door.
I grab my gun and tuck it in the back of my jeans, put the phone in my pocket and answer the door.
"That's not creepy." I say when I answer.
"Good, not much time if I'm going to sneak you out, go ask Rogers to watch Baby." He said hurried.
"Why? Why are we sneaking out?" I ask, confused.
"Because Natasha's still talking with Clint, he's in his gym, go hurry." Tony said quickly, pushing me along.
"Baby Dixie, your gunna stay with Rogers for a while, okay be good." I say to Baby, she seems disappointed to not be going but gets over it quickly, I think she likes Steve.
We sprint past Natasha's room, they hadn't heard us.
Once I get to Rogers' gym, I knock on the door and just say
"It's Poptart" and the door opens.
"Mornin Poptart, not working out in that are you?" He asks, looking me down while Baby trails limping, and Tony hides outside.
