chpt.14 I'm Not Happy

Joseph

"You know our little girl has been acting strange lately do you have any idea of what's with her"? I ask Don while brushing my hair into the mirror.

"She's just probably going through some teenage things, you know how you girls are. Maybe you should go talk to her, I need to go check up on some things I'll be back later" he said leaving out.

I continue brushing my hair and pull it up into a bun, I know I haven't been the best mother to Ashanti but I'm trying by her being married to Ronnie.

"Ashanti this your mother can I come in"? I say as I knock on the door.

"Yeah come on she said".

Joseph: hey sweety are you okay?

Ashanti: yeah I'm fine why wouldn't I be?

Joseph: I notice you been  acting strange just wanna know what's wrong

Ashanti: nothing's wrong just been dealing with school

Joseph: Shanti I know you a little nervous about marrying Ronnie, trust me you two will live as a happy couple

Ashanti: No no no, I'm not happy okay. You and dad always running my life, don't you see that Ronnie is a grown man I have someone who is around my age and he's a good person

Joseph: how long has this been going on?

Ashanti: doesn't matter just know I will not marry Ronnie

Joseph: I don't believe this all we have done for you and this what I get. Wait to your father hears about this

Ashanti: you done now?

I got up and left out the room, she sitting up here telling me she's not happy after all I done for her.

Ashanti

That felt good to finally tell her how I feel but they still don't know that I'm pregnant. Sooner or later they'll find out, until then I will just wear baggy clothes.

I can't keep stressing like this. I don't want to end up loosing my baby so I will just take it easy for now.

She thinks when my dad gets home I suppose to be scared? No I will be honor to tell him like I told her I'm not happy and I will not marry Ronnie.

Jaminse

"Baby where you going"? Chris ask while I was putting on my shoes.

"Business, but since you wanna be nosey. I'm going to hang with the girls so we could go baby shopping".

"Y'all don't even know what she's having yet".

"Okay and...We can still go buy diapers, bottles, and-".

"Alright I get it" he say cutting me off.

"Yeah okay, I will call you later so see you when I see you" I gave him a kiss and was on my way to go get Tiffany and Amora so we could pick up Ashanti.

Tiffany

"Ashanti you need to gone ahead and move in with August, since your not happy being at your parents house" I tell her while we was walking through Baby R' Us.

"You don't understand Tiff it's not that easy" she say holding a teddy bear.

"How about the both of you run away and live happily ever after" Amora said walking over to the cribs.

"This is not a fairy tale story Amora, plus Ashanti can't leave me here with y'all two" Jaminse said.

"We don't want to be left here with you either" I say back.

"Y'all need help, I'm hungry and I could use some chicken wings as of right now" Ashanti say as we was headed to the checkout line.

We got a couple of things and we was going to the food court to feed our faces.

While Amora and Ashanti was in line Jaminse and I was sitting at the table discussing about throwing Ashanti a baby shower.

"That's a good idea Tiff but where we going to have it at"?

"At my place or we can have it at August place, which he wouldn't mind".

"We need to find out what she's having first though" Jaminse say as she was texting away on her phone.

"Yeah I forgot about that, well when she do finds out then we'll start getting it together".

We start talking about something else when Amora and Shanti came back to the table with the food.

We stop by August house to put the baby stuff there since she didn't tell her parents just yet.

"You going to stay here or you going back home"? Jaminse ask her.

"Ima stay here when Aug gets back I'll get him to take me home" she say, we all hug her goodbye and I told her to get some rest and don't worry about nothing.

As we all got back in the car I told Amora about the baby shower for Ashanti, and since Amora was good at doing a theme I put her in charge f that. Once we get all of this together Ashanti will love it.
