(10) It's Done

Three days later

Bucky turned off their alarm. When he rolled over he seen her sleeping. As he laid there watching her sleep he gently caressed her face.

She smiled in her sleep. "Wake up sleeping beauty." He said

She rolled to her side. "Mmm not now.." she whispered

"This the last day for a week." He said

She opened her eyes as she looked at him. He tucked some of her blonde hair behind her ear.

"Thought more about what I suggested the other day?" He said

"No.." she said as she bit her lip.

"Tonight when I pick up the girls I'm gonna tell Nikki the truth." He said

"Why? You said .." she said

He kissed her as he rolled her back onto her back. "Because I want you..let's just be honest baby. You were jealous that night you were hurt cause you are falling in love with me..just like I am with you." He said as he continued to kiss her.

"Mmm James.." she whispered as he moved down her neck.

"I want you and I baby." He said in her ear.

He came back to her face. "Make me more babies." He whispered

"Oh James.." she said

She felt him removing her birth control patch. "Oops.." he whispered then he pushed into her.

"James..oh my god." She whispered as he began to move.

Once they finished their morning romp they began to get ready for work. When they were still in the parking garage he kissed her. "I love you gorgeous." He said

"Mmm I love you.." she said

"I knew it..see I was right this morning." He said he pulled her back to him.

"Don't get a big head." She said

He smiled at her. "I won't..but was I really right?" He said

"I was jealous Buck. And looking back on it I was falling in love with you and hurt that I could lose you. I've lost so much in the last year.." she said

"Baby I'm not going anywhere.." he said

"Well don't make that a promise. Josh did that and look what happened." She said as they went inside the hospital.

That night Bucky pulled up in front of the brownstone he once shared with Nikki. Nikki let him in.

"I'm almost done feeding Zara. Vannie is finishing up her chores." Nikki said

"Good cause we need to talk. She's little she doesn't know what's going on." He said as he followed her to the kitchen.

"Okay.." she said

"So um listen Nikki the reason why I didn't want you to go is because I've met someone. She and I have been discussing moving in together. So she's coming to the Hamptons too. So we are officially done..no more late night calls or me staying late so we can hook up." He said

Tears welled in her eyes. "Buck I..I don't understand for the last four months we have been under quarantined so how did you meet this girl?" She said

"Well she works for me for one. And two she lives on my floor." He said

"You had a rule..don't get involved with co workers..what the hell happened?" She said

"Nik don't. I'm happy and in love. So can you just be happy for me. Now you can move on." He said

She looked down. "I love you James. I have loved you since I was 16 I gave you my virginity I married you at 18. And I stayed by your side even after you left me. I did all that because I love you and now you don't want to try and be a family I gave you the time I thought you needed you would be back." She said

"Nikki I never said that we would be getting back together! I always told you that if you met someone to tell me. That rule applied to me as well why do you think I made you do the DNA test on her cause I didn't know what you were doing.." he said

"I was only sleeping with you. But you know what here..thanks for Nothing James!" She said as she slid off her wedding rings.

Bucky looked down. He never noticed that she kept hers on. "I'm sorry Nik." He said as he picked up Zara.

"Vannie baby you ready?!" He said in a raised tone.

"Yes daddy. I coming I coming." She said as she ran down the stairs.

"Alright you got sissy's bag too." He said as he took the bags.

"Yeah." She said

Nikki came in wiping tears. "Be Good Vannie. Listen to daddy and Gigi." She said as she hugged her.

"I will mama." She said

Nikki kissed Zara goodbye. Bucky looked at her "It's gonna be okay darlin." He whispered

"Bye James.." she said as she open the door for him.

He sighed and walked out with the girls. When he got to his place he let Vanessa in. "Vannie this is daddy's girlfriend. Her name is Brooklyn." Bucky said

"Hi Brooklyn." She said

"Hi Vannie it's nice to meet you." Brooklyn said

"And this one is Zara. She will be one in September." He said as he let her down.

"Both are very adorable." She said

"Thank you..ours will be just as cute." He said as he kissed her.

She smiled at him. "Help me get them down." He said

"Yup." She said as she picked up Zara.

They went upstairs got the girls bathed and changed into pajamas. Bucky kissed both girls goodnight and cracked their door. When he laid down beside Brooklyn in their bed.

"We are going to need to move." He said

"Yeah.." she said as she snuggled closer to him.

"By the way I told Nikki tonight. She wasn't happy she gave me these back and cried. But she will get over it eventually. I didn't realize she had kept them on." He said

"Oh wow.." she said

"Yeah" he said as they both slowly fell asleep.

The next morning they made their way to the Hamptons along with the rest of the family.
