Chapter 11: A Day Off

I woke up in the middle of the night shivering and covered in cold sweat. I looked over and Ozpin was facing away from me. The blanket wasn't on either of our bodies. I quietly sat up on the bed before resting my head on the mattress near his relaxed body. I opened my mouth to call his name, yet nothing came out. I didn't want to wake him, yet he wasn't busy either as it was the weekend. I shifted and moved my right hand to his shoulder, I barely touched it before watching him stir in his sleep. I narrowed my eyes before figuring it was best to let him sleep. I quietly got off the bed before heading toward the bathroom. I closed the door quietly before turning on the light. I looked at myself in the mirror before seeing the sweat come down my face. I sighed before grabbing a small towel and get it wet so I could clean my face and the back of my neck. Once that was done I quickly used the bathroom before heading back out. I heard a slight whisper before seeing Ozpin come into focus. "Hey... are you okay?" He asked before opening his arms. I nodded before hugging him back and feeling his arms wrap around my back. "Yeah, I'm alright. I woke up in cold sweat." I said softly before looking up at him. "Another nightmare?" I heard him say. I shook my head even though he probably couldn't see it. "No. Well, at least I don't remember anything. But it's probably because the blanket wasn't over our bodies and it's freezing in your room." I said before removing my body from his. "And, did I wake you up again?" I asked sadly before feeling Ozpin move away and seeing him go back to the bed. "Oh, no you didn't. I was kinda awake when you got up." I nodded before holding my hand on my arm thinking. "Hey Oz? I got a question..." I mumbled softly before moving over to the bed. Ozpin's frame was now leaning against his pillows. "Dear, come here and get comfy. Then you can ask your question, okay?" I heard him say in the dark. I did as he told and laid right next to him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders before using his other hand to bring the blanket over our frames. Ozpin had moved slightly down before he looked at me. "So... what's your question..." he asked softly as he played with my hair with his free hand. "Umm... I was wondering... do you ever get annoyed when I constantly wake you up? Wether it be my fault or not?" I moved my hand to his chest while I rested my head against it. Ozpin gave a slight whimper at my question. "Oh dear, no... I don't get annoyed... I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you. No matter what. I care for you. So when I don't feel your beautiful presence next to mine I get worried... cause I don't know what you would be doing... so, do not worry about waking me up. Especially if it's my weekend off." Ozpin moved his head so he could give me kisses on my head. I smiled upon hearing this and wrapping my arm underneath his and having it rest behind his back. "Thank you Oz...." I felt Ozpin's head nod slowly before he brought the blanket behind my neck. "Of course my dear. Now let's get some sleep. It's probably around midnight by now." I nodded before kissing his chest. "Love you Oz." I said before smelling his cologne. "Love you too." Ozpin replied before we drifted off to sleep for the remainder of the night.

I felt my body wake up slowly. Due to that I sighed before rolling over on my side. I felt Ozpin shift as well and wrapped his left arm around me while his right one laid on the pillow by my head. I moved my head to look at him. He was so peaceful. I could tell today would just be cuddling in bed while not wanting to even get up and eat. But, Ozpin did deserve it especially since he dealt with a lot since he found me. I smiled at the thought as I shifted my body against his. Moving my head slowly underneath his chin he had grumbled yet continued to sleep as if nothing happened. I let out a small chuckle as he was entirely adorable in his sleep. I moved my head back down on the pillow before closing my eyes back into sleep. I soon felt comfortable in bed, yet to my luck I had to use the bathroom. I blew some of my hair from my face before slowly getting up from the bed and toward the bathroom. I moved the blanket on top of Ozpin's body more so he can stay warm. I leaned down to his face and kissed him gently. "Love you."

I looked at Ozpin's calm and relaxed face making me smile. 'How was I so lucky to get such a beautiful man...' I couldn't stop staring in awe as I noticed his chest rising up and down slowly at a steady pace. I turned my head before walking toward the bathroom so I could use it. Once I entered the bathroom I looked at myself in the mirror before playing with my hair. 'A shower would probably be the best bet...' I moved away from the door so I could close it. I sighed before quickly using the bathroom while taking off my clothes. I threw them on the floor before I opened the curtains and walked into the tub. I turned on the water and made it warm. I sighed as I let the hot water rest against my back.
