Chapter 2: Healing and Talks

Ozpin had stayed by Jade's side for at least 3 days now. He was currently looking over paperwork that was on his lap as he sat in the chair that rest next to her bed. He sighed before flipping over the paper and reading the next page. He moved his arm and let his elbow rest against the arm rest. "You don't look all that good." Glynda said before walking toward the male. Ozpin looked up and smiled. "No, sadly... it's been three days already and she still has yet to awaken... I'm worried." Ozpin said before taking his gaze of the huntress and looking at Jade's body that laid peacefully on the bed. "Professor, she's been injured and let alone tired from running. I would say she has-" Glynda was saying before getting stopped by the movement on the bed.

Jade moved around as she heard both the professors talking. "Your all so loud...." I mumbled before sighing and trying to get up. Ozpin quickly moved his paper on the bed before helping you sit up. "Oh Jade, your awake. How are you feeling?" He asked before sitting on my bed and wrapping his arm around my frame. "Hmm.... hungry..." I looked around my environment before looking at Ozpin. "Where are we?" Ozpin smiled before looking at Glynda. "May you get the nurse for me?" He asked before watching her leave. "And to answer your question. Your at my academy, Beacon's infirmary." Ozpin explained before hearing footsteps. He saw Poppy and Glynda. "Oh! Miss Jade! Your awake!" Poppy said happily as she stood by my side. I nodded smiling slightly. "So how are you feeling? I'm sure your hungry." Poppy said before grabbing something and wrapping it around her neck. I nodded feeling quite weirded out. I eventually got slower to Ozpin. "Umm... yeah, I am indeed hungry... other than that I'm doing fine." I told the male before jumping as she brought the device closer to me. Ozpin looked at you shocked. "Jade, what's wrong? She's only going to check your heart rate." Ozpin explained before looking up at Glynda then Poppy. Poppy gave a weird look before dropping her arm to her side. I moved into Ozpin's coat. "I... I've been... quite abused... by the others...." I clenched onto Ozpin's clothing.

Ozpin frowned upon hearing the news and wrapped his arms around me. "I see... Hmm... will it be alright if I do it for you?" Ozpin asked moving my hair slightly. I only gave a slight nod. Ozpin motioned Poppy to come near him. "The nurse will still listen to your heartbeat, but I will hold it to your chest alright? I'm not a doctor..." he smiled before grabbing the device from Poppy's hand and holding it up to my chest. Poppy nodded to Ozpin, "She sounds good. Her heart rate is normal. Now, we should get her some food." Poppy said before walking toward the basket of small medical equipment. "My dear, what do you like to eat?" Poppy said before looking at me. I removed my grasp from Ozpin before looking at her. "Umm, I can go for anything right now...just no raisins..." I said before lifting my head more from Ozpin's chest. Poppy nodded and looked at Glynda. In which they both left the room.

Once I saw them leave I sighed and sat back more on the bed and not entirely on top of Ozpin. "I'm sorry sir..." I said to him before he shook his head. "No, it's quite alright. Can I ask you some questions since we are alone. If you don't feel like answering that is alright." I nodded before looking at him. "Well, when you got founded by your village? You knew about the monsters of Grimm correct?" He asked before I nodded at him. "Alright, and you are well aware of the huntress and huntsman as well?" I nodded again. "Are you wanting to become one?" You averted his gaze and looked down at your hands. "I don't have any training, and I don't know what weapon would be suitable for me...." I said sadly to him as I felt his hand on mine. "Do not worry about that Jade. I will be able to help you find a suitable weapon of your capabilities as well as helping you train. I am the headmaster at this school, and it's my duty to make sure that the huntsman and huntresses are well trained from the very beginning." Ozpin smiled at me in which I returned. "Thank you sir." Ozpin nodded before looking up again as he heard the females walk back into the room. "Hello Miss Jade. I hope pancakes with some fruit on the side is good enough." Poppy said before placing the tray on my lap. I smiled slightly. "Thank you... I...I'm sorry for my sudden change in attitude... I... I just met you... and I'm not very fond of having people come to me with something." Poppy shook her head. "Oh dear, don't worry about it. I completely understand. I'll be in my office headmaster." Poppy said before taking her leave. Glynda checked the time and sighed. "Professor, I have a class to teach. Let me know if you need anything." Glynda told Ozpin before leaving the room.
