⨳𝗠𝗲𝗼𝘄⨳ | 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 [𝗣𝘁. 3]

On your forehead is a word.

A certain word, written in cutesy bubble letters.

You lean closer to the mirror. A single word:

'meow'.

"U-uhm, hey Kuroo..." You nervously say to him.

"Yup?"

"What do you think...of soulmates?"

He smiles, his signature grin taking over his features.

"You know, don't you, Kitten," he whispers.

What?

"Before Mei asked me out," he looks at you, "I wrote something on my skin. Just to see who my soulmate was. To see..."

He pauses. "To see if it was you. I was scared that it wouldn't be, that my feelings where ultimately meaningless."                                                                                                                                        

"But I gathered the courage. I wrote on my neck, right behind my ear. Then, when Mei asked me out, I used her as a distraction and checked to see if it showed up on you."

"And it did, and you have no idea how happy I was."

He looks at you, and there are tears in his eyes.

"We're soulmates. I just wanted you to figure it out on your own."

You run up to him and give him a hug, getting emotional yourself.

"You know," he laughs, "I forgot my umbrella on purpose..."

You stare at him. "Huh?"

"I thought you were going to bring one, but I wanted to share with you again. So I left mine home," he says, "What I got was even better, though."

"...and what'd you get?"

"I got to run with you. Through the rain, while laughing and trying to beat you. You have no idea how happy you looked," he tells you, "...smiling and not even caring that we were both getting drenched."

You trace the word on his forehead with your finger. 

"Meow," you giggle.

"Meow? Why meow?" he grins. "Out of all the words to write..."

"I don't know. I was thinking of your nickname for me, I guess." You tell him.

He laughs. "Well, someday we can tell our kids that the word 'meow' is what helped us figure out we were soulmates. It's going to be pretty funny-"

"Kids?"

He looks surprised. "Yeah, I mean, I just assumed we'd have kids someday..."

You blush. Kids? With Kuroo?

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

W-what??

"Kuroo-"

"No," he stops you, "Please listen. I've had a huge crush on you for so long. Now I know we're soulmates, so I'm sure we're meant to be together. I might sound a bit forward, but I mean it."      

"I love you."

Your face is completely red, and your heartbeat is racing.

"I've only realized my crush on you recently, Bedhead, so I want to save those words. Those three special words. I want to save them for when I am sure about you. For when I can really mean them," you tell him, looking away. "So for now, I'll say thank you. I don't want this relationship to be rushed, because I want it to mean something. I want it to last. But thank you, Kuroo, for everything."
