⩥ 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 ⩤ | 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝘇𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝘅 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 [Pt. 2]

"I told you already, Kenma, I'm paying."

You hand the receptionist the money as Kenma holds Yoshi.

Turns out she had a sprain, causing her to limp. The vet gave her proper treatment, though, so she should be fine in about three weeks.

You walk outside, heading to your car with Kenma.

He sits in the passenger seat and sets Yoshi in the backseat.

You start the car, but stop.

9:30 p.m.

"Do...you want to eat somewhere? It's getting late," you ask Kenma.

"I'll pay," Kenma says quietly. You take that as a yes.

You both agree on a restaurant called "Chick's" and you start to drive there giggling.

You know Kenma just wants to sneak chicken for Yoshi.

"Drive through?" 

Kenma nods.

You order chicken for the both of you and water for Yoshi.

You park and unpack the food. Yoshi mews at the smell of chicken, making Kenma smile.

He's so cute.

You blush. 

I MEAN YOSHI. YOSHI IS SO CUTE.

You hand him the chicken, avoiding his gaze, and pour some water into a small bowl for the kitten.

"Kenma? What're you-"

He opens the door and moves to the back with Yoshi, bringing his chicken with him.

You smile.

You join them, sitting in the back, eating chicken and petting Yoshi.

You glance at the clock.

10:16 p.m.

You yawn and lay down while Yoshi and Kenma finish their chicken.

It's so peaceful.

Yoshi purring and Kenma chuckling occasionally at her.

You close your eyes, the calm atmosphere lulling you to sleep.

Someone shakes you awake.

"K-Kenma?"

His hair is wild, like he just woke up. 

Wait.

You look at the time.

7:02 a.m.

"Oh my gosh," you look out of the window, "we slept in the parking lot."

You quickly go back to the front seat and start the car.

"I'm sorry, I fell asleep," you apologize.

You start to drive back home, and hear Kenma laughing softly to himself.

"What? It's not that funny."

"Y-your hair," he laughs.
