The next day around two I heard a knock at my door. To my surprise it was Kili's older brother. "Hey." I say. "Hey I'm Fili, Kili's older brother. Can I talk to you?" Fili ask. I nod and come out the door. "My uncle doesn't approve." He says. "Of what?" I ask very nervous. "Kili and you." He replies. "We are not going out." I say. "I know, but before you even think about that, know my uncle hates your father." Fili says then leaves. I felt a sharp pain through my heart. 'Why would his uncle hate Thranduil? But then again, he is cold.' I think. "Hey, who was that?" Ask Legolas or so I think. "Fili Oakenshield." I say. "Never talk to that boy!" Thranduil says as I glance up. "Why?" I ask. "There no good!" He replies. "Even Kili?" I ask accidentally. "Whatever you think you have with that boy, you don't. It's not real Tauriel! Wake up!" He yells. "To you." I whisper. "What!" He barks. "Nothing." I say walking to my room.
'How could this be? I've only been friends with him. It's not like we are getting married.' I think. 'What does he mean by not real? Him? Or the emotion I felt?' I plug in my ear phones and try to drown it out until I realize something. Why would Thranduil hate Thorin and Kili now? Not earlier? Maybe he was too drunk to realize.

I fall asleep and realize I don't wake up until seven to a knocking sound. I go to my window and see Kili and I immediately open the window. "Hey, wanna go to our hide out?" Kili ask. Our? "Sure!" I yell and get on my jacket and shoes. I run down stairs and meet him. "Hey did you here the news?" I say. "Yes and I want you to know your the greatest friend I've ever had. I won't give you up." He says. This sends a electric shock up my spine. "Kili." I try to say. "I'm serious. Now let's go." He says. We run to the building laughing. I don't care if Thranduil grounds me, I'm having the best time of my life.
When we get there we talk about how my dad got all out of place and how Thorin blew up. "Kili thanks for everything." I say to him. "I didn't give you anything." He says. "Yeah you did. The best time of my life." I say. He gives a smile. "Well I guess you're welcome." He replies. I look out the window and realize it's almost ten. "My dad is going to kill me." I say. "Why?" He ask. "It's almost ten. Maybe I can sneak through the window?" I question. "Can you even reach the window?" He ask. "No. I will just make up a story." I say. "Let me tell him." He says. I don't say nothing even though I want to stop him.
We get up and start walking back and Thranduil is waiting for my return. "So you run off with Kili." He says. "Dad I-" I try to say. "Stay away from my daughter! Don't ever come back here!" He said turning towards Kili. "No dad!" I scream. Kili looked down in disappointment. "If I see you with her again I swear-" he tries to say. "Dad I love him!" I scream. He pauses and so does Kili. "What?" Kili and Thranduil says at the same time. "Dad I want to be with him." I tell him. "Why?" Thranduil ask. "He makes me feel free." I say.
He let's go of Kili. "I'm sorry." He mummers and walks in the house. I pause and start walking before Kili stops me. "Tauriel, did you mean that?" Kili ask. "Yes." I blurt out. He gives a shy smile the way he did the first day. "You make me feel alive." He tells me. Before I think I give him a hug, but not just any. I tight long one that feels just right.
