Chapter 5

That night Thranduil said sorry to me and that I could date him. It was odd, very odd. "Why don't you approve?" I ask. "His uncle and I are not the best of friends. We use to but not now. But I know where this will end Tauriel." Thranduil tells me. "No, it won't end like that." I say. "How do you know? He's only sixteen, how do you know you will spend the rest of your life with him?" Thranduil ask. I pause as tears come in my eyes. "Why can't you just leave me alone! I never asked for another father!" I yelled as I ran out the door heading towards the building. "Tauriel stop!" Thranduil says chasing me. I keep running as tears flow down my eyes.
I run all the way upstairs until I get to my apartment or what use to be. I then fall down on the floor sobbing. "Tauriel-" he says stopping with his mouth open. "What is this place?" "My old home." I say still sobbing. He kneeled by me with his mouth dropped open. "We shouldn't be here." He says as he tries to pick me up. But when I get up I fall through the floor. Then everything is black, until my dreams come.
"Honey, you need to wake up." My mother tells me. I open my eyes and see her beautiful red hair. "Mom?" I say. "Tauriel come here." She says with arms open. I get up and hug her and then see dad. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "We need you to choose something." She says. "What?" I ask excited. "Do you want to stay here with us or wake up for Kili?" They ask. "What?" I say confused. "Tauriel we need you to stay with Kili. Be strong." They say as they fade away and I wake in a hospital room.
"Hey Tauriel is waking up." I hear Kili crying. "Kili." I gasp. "I'm here." He says hugging me. Then I realize I'm in a neck brace and one of my legs is broken. "What happened?" I ask. "You fell through the floor and landed two stories down from it. The other floors and holes in them from the fire. The doctors thought you would have never made it." Thranduil says. I nod. "You've been through two surgeries." He tells me. Two?! "How long was I asleep?" I ask. "Four days." Kili says. I look at him concerned. Thranduil and Legolas walks out of the room and Kili sits beside me. "I thought you were dead." He tells me. "I'm not." I say with a smile. "You think this is funny! You could have died! I love you and never want you to get hurt!" Kili blurts out. "I'm sorry." I say. He stays quiet and we both sit in silence for awhile.
