Now would be a good time to put Concrete Halls by C418 on loop by the way.Alixandria didn't know whether to laugh or scream or kill it. "W-what?"
"I. Apologise." His words were broken. "Myenglish. Is. Abit. Off. Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe."
"Hell to the no," she scoffed. Where's the Doctor? She thought wildly. It began to walk toward her, his gait just as broken as his voice.
"Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe." Alixandria stood her ground reluctantly, trembling from fear and the bitter cold.
"Get away from me," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "I have a weapon."
"Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe." He kept repeating.
"Look!" She shouted over him. "Even if some magical force made me want to come with you, I wouldn't know how and where I'm going!"
"Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe."
"Well that's no bloody help at all, is it?" She muttered angrily, continuing to step back from the advancing thing. Like every movie ever, Alixandria was running out of room on the roof. She contemplated just sliding down the tiles, but she didn't know what the thing could do. Could it fly? Run? Call to other things like it?
"Ixan!" Called a familiar voice. Alixandria looked down and saw the Doctor waving to her.
"Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe." Alixandria dove down the tiles, leaning back to regain her balance. She slid off the edge of the roof and her stomach lurched up into her throat. She was flying, flying, flying! And then falling way down. She landed on the muddy path hard on her side, and she knew she dislocated her shoulder and severely hurt her knee. The Doctor scrambled to her, helping her up. Alixandria cried out in pain as he brushed up against her shoulder.
"I shall help you for the Sonatran empire!" The pudgy tuxedo man said.
"Doctor!" Exclaimed Vastra. "You know where to go, yes?" He nodded an affirmative. The thing leapt down from the roof, beginning to chase them in an awkward bobbing gait.
"Where's the TARDIS?" Alixandria cried as the Doctor urged her into a run.
"It got struck by the lightning-that's-more-than-lightning," he explained.
"What did you need to get all this time?"
"...my hat..."
"I hate you!" She yelled, limping with every jog. They began to run through a labyrinth of a Victorian town. Feet pounding in the the cobblestones, they could also hear the garbled words of the thing pursuing them. The Doctor stopped at a deserted intersection.
"We need to split up," he said.
"What? No! No!" She exclaimed. "Don't leave me!"
"It's the only way. He won't come after
you," the Doctor insisted, holding onto her shoulders. She hissed from the pain, but at the same time, his touch was reassuring."And what if he does?" Alixandria wondered.
"Truly, truly, he will not."
"And what if he gets you?"
"Then I will see you again," the Doctor pulled her into a hug before racing in the other direction. Alixandria hobbled down an inconspicuous alleyway, rain hitting the tattered sheets above her. She crouched down by a dumpster, dried slop returning to its liquid state and running down the side of it.
Alixandria held her shoulder, shaking violently. She wondered what the thing would go after. She was terrified, genuinely terrified. And not because the monster was scary, it was because she had no idea what was going on, or where she was, or what was after her.
She leaned her head back, tears leaking out of her eyes as she heard "Comewithme. Alixandria. Van. Der. Wolfe."
As it neared, she got up and ran, splashing through polluted puddles. From across the way, she saw the Doctor, probably running from it.
"Behind you!" He yelled. "Run!" She tried to, but slimy, narrow appendages wrapped around her waist, drawing her up.
"Doctor! Help me!" She shrieked bloody murder. He began to run to her, sonic screwdriver extended, but as he did, Alixandria felt her physical being slip away from the world she was in...
