Wedding Day

As soon a Dijun returned to Thai Chen Palace his head was working overtime.  He went straight to his office and summoned Zhong Li. As soon as he arrived he instructed him that he will be dispatched tomorrow to Qingqiu to assist with the wedding preparations. He told him about the Princess's requests and gave him a few more directions.

Zhong Li will also have to prepare Thai Chen Palace for the upcoming arrival of the princess. Dijun told him he wants to install a walk in closet for her in his room. And he will also give Zhong Li instructions on what kind of clothes, shoes and accessories to fill the closet with.

Also the Palace needs to be redecorated  and cleaned spot on. A Peach Blossom tree garden will be planted next to the exterior pavilion for her to feel more familiar in her new home. Dijun also gave instructions for an extra bedroom to be prepared next to his just in case the princess needs time to adjust to all the new changes, with the same type of wardrobe like the one he will install in his bedroom.

And lastly he told him he will prepare 2 rings for them to exchange on the wedding day and Zhong Li will deliver his ring to the Bai family.

Zhong Li made mental notes on all the instructions and went to prepare Dijun's tea. He was so happy for his master. He's been lonely for way too long. Out of respect he had to contain his joy in front of him but nobody stopped him to smile happily in his room and saying out loud to an imaginary Dijun:
-Don't worry Dijun I will arrange the most amazing wedding for you and everything will be perfect. Even if I have to vouch for it with my life!

As the weeks went by and the wedding day was approaching Fengjiu's mood was improving and her parents felt more at ease. The preparations were going smoothly under the careful supervision of Zhong Li. Fengjiu was even answering promptly Zhong Li's queries, but she wasn't taking any initiatives by herself. Well at least that was something.

The wedding day has finally arrived. The Bais were up early morning for the final retouches. Crown Princess Qian Qian was the first to arrive accompanied by the Crown Price Ye Hua. She was just letting him know that she will go to help Fengjiu get dressed when Dong Hua Dijun was announced by Migu. He entered the spacious reception room beautifully decorated with wisteria flowers and he gave a nod to Zhong Li in appreciation for the decoration.

The whole fox den was swarming with maid servants trying to finish the final details before the wedding started. Everyone stopped and bowed to Dijun. He ask everyone to stand and carry on. He then walked to Ye Hua to greet him.
-I see you've already been dragged here so early.
Ye Hua looked lovingly at his wife and said:
-The things we do for family and the ones we love.
Qian Qian cheeks started to burn and looked down.
-Well I leave you two to have a chat and I'll go and help Fenjiu get ready. And she left bowing to Dijun. Ye Hua's eyes followed her until she left the room.

The two men had great respect for each other and Dijun valued the Crown Prince more that the actual emperor. He hoped the day he will take over will come soon.
-So Dijun how do you feel? Nervous? I surely was on my wedding day. But I have to admit I was damn lucky! Mind you Bai women are extraordinary. I do hope you will be as blessed as I am. You will never find a boring day.
Dijun's heart felt warm upon hearing that.

Zhong Li appeared next to them, bowed and informed Dijun a room was prepared for him to get ready. Dijun thanked Ye Hua for the advice and good wishes and left to get ready.

Fengjiu was just finishing her makeup and her mother was trying to fix her hair when Qian Qian knocked the door and came in. Both women smiled when they saw her and Fengjiu raised her hands towards her begging for a hug and a kiss. Qian Qian knew she was more like a sister and a friend to her so she casually asked her with a big smile on her face:
-How is everything? Are you finally ready to get married?
She hoped Fengjiu will understand her double meaning and that she has made arrangements in case she wants to evade.
