First Official Meet

The Nine Heavens and the six realms were in absolute state of utter shock by the announcement of the engagement between Emperor Dong Hua Dijun and her highness royal Princess Bai Feng Jiu of Qingqiu.

Even Emperor Hao De was speechless. He thought when did that even happen? Dong Hua Dijun doesn't even leave Thai Chen Palace. He was burning to ask. But how? Dijun will dismiss him in a heart bit if he dared to ask. He cannot allow Dijun to outshine his family like this, he had to do something.

And then an idea popped into his head. Queen Qian Qian was engaged with his son but he screw that over when he fell in love and married someone else. Previously he thought he will just leave it to that and forget about it but now he will have to press on Bai's pride to restore that engagement.

He also knew that the alliance between the Nine Heavens and Qingqiu is important to them to gain protection for their kingdom, especially against the constant demons attacks. Being neighbouring lands with them meant they were always at risk. Hao De will have the upper hand to force them to carry on their commitment and marry into the Royal Family. But whom can he ask for such a sacrifice. Then with an evil smile murmured under his breath:
-The Crown Prince!

After that night Fengjiu became very introverted and spoke very little. She started training harder, reading more, focusing on school and spend as much time as possible with Qian Qian learning how to be a queen.

After Qian Qian engagement was announced, the family has set a date for Fengjiu to be crowned as the queen of Qingqiu. Zhe Yan has looked into it and the date of the third year after Fengjiu's engagement date was an auspicious day for coronation.

They have all tried to speak with her about the engagement but she absolutely refused shutting them down. She didn't had the heart to tell her father she won't do it. She was making all sorts of plans in her mind of how to escape it, but on the other hand she had the Bai's pride and knew they always keep their word.

She was completely torn and...desperate. How will she live with a man she doesn't love? If only she could met the man in the woods again maybe he could help her out. No! No! That was absolute nonsense! She doesn't even know who he was. How can't she break all ties with her loving family over a stranger?

When her Gugu engagement was announce they became sisters in grief. Qian Qian didn't wanted to get married either, especially with someone so much younger then her. But she understood her duty as queen and that the sacrifice she was making was for the greater good of Qingqiu. She told Fengjiu she carries the same responsibility as the future queen. Even marrying Dijun they will get the same protection.

Qian Qian marriage was set before Fengjiu's. Hao De wanted to outshine Dijun. Her Gugu will leave Qingqiu before Fengjiu to live in the Nine Heavens. She tried to encourage Fengjiu by saying they will be living close and as a Crown Princess she could help her if she ever needs it. But Fengjiu was still stern. Then Qian Qian stepped on her heard, swallowed her pride and said:

-If you want to run away I'll help you. But bare in mind there will be grave consequences. Your father will be banished from court, all the family will refuse to see you ever again including me, and you will have to live far away never to return to Qingqiu. If you can give up all of this and leave everything behind, including your heart, I will not stop at anything and make all the arrangements. Think about it carefully and let me know.

Fengjiu went back home hopeless. All she could do is cry and cry again. She was trying to keep it hidden but her mother and the rest could see her swollen eyes every morning.

Time has passed, Qian Qian got married and move to the Nine Heavens but Fengjiu has never forgotten her words. She asked for her aunt forgiveness that she wouldn't attend the wedding because she didn't want to bump into Dong Hua Dijun. She helped make all the preparations from Qingqiu and send them over with her family. Dijun hasn't attended the wedding either for the same reasons. He also wanted to keep his word by not seeing Fengjiu until close to the upcoming wedding. He had respectfully send presents over for the newly weds and had Si Ming tell everyone he is in seclusion.
