Chapter 21

Sohyun's POV
Mr. Lee entered the class, we were asked to open the text book and the class continued. Days passed and turned into weeks and then months soon semester was coming to end. Finally my high school was coming to end, I need to score high to get in best college. I started studying and with exam the prom night was also nearing. I wasn't interested at all but Minjae keeps on asking me.

I am in the library reading a text for exam and here he comes. I quick hide my face behind piled up books I had. But I can never escape from this guy. He came near me and sat next to me,
"Hi, my pretty one. What are you studying?" Minjae spoke with his flirtatious behavior.

I just ignored his question and went back to reading. He didn't give up, "What's your answer?" He asked with his eyebrows raised. I continued to ignore him. He then poked my cheeks now I could no longer ignore, I gave him the coldest glare, despite that he was happy to have my attention.
"Now you are listening to me, it's about prom night.."

"That again, I am not interested" I turned back to books, closed them and stood up to walk to some silent place but he kept on following me.

"If you don't agree to go with me, I am not going to stop following you. I am not going to let you study in peace" he kept on talking and following, the attention of the students we passed were all on me, he was talking too loud that I saw people coming out of their class to see our drama, I walked as fast as I could to run away from the situation but it wasn't possible. Deep down my heart I wanted someone to ask me for prom but that person was nowhere around me. He keeps on ignoring me and I had realized recently that I have missed getting his attention and that smirk of him.

I was walking as far as I could before I bumped to someone. I think I am going to fall flat, I closed my eyes by the reflex action. But I didn't feel anything, all I heard was murmurs around the hall. I opened my eyes to meet the familiar pair of eyes, he was holding me, his hands wrapped my waist carefully, my heart started racing, I could also hear his heart racing. My face blushed but I can also see his cheeks turning red, am I imagining. He said that we don't have anything and he had removed me from his life but why is this happening. The day when I bumped my head on his chest was still fresh in my mind. Our staring game was broken by Minjae, "Sohyun-ah are you okay?"
I quickly released myself from his hands and without saying a word, I continued to walk forward without picking up the books that were scattered on the ground.

Minjae still followed me, now I was getting saturated, I suddenly turned back, "okay" I bluntly blurted.

"What okay?" Minjae was shocked to hear this.

"I will go to prom night with you, so stop following me" I didn't wait for him to respond but from the corner of my eyes I saw him dancing. I don't know why he keeps on following me when he has so many girls to toy around.

Sehun's POV
I was walking with Chanyeol talking about the exam when I bumped her, the apple to my pie and the straw to my berry. Her eyes were closed, may be she thought she would hit the ground. Why can't I stop loving this girl? This thought kept on running in my mind. She played with my feelings and didn't even apologise and here I am calling for this stubborn and arrogant girl. She open her eyes and I was more lost in her eyes, I knew that she could hear my heart beat as I could hear hers. We stood there like that for few moment and then Minjae interrupted. That's why I hate this guy, but I don't express it, at least I try to suppress it after that incident.

As always Sohyun walked away even without thanking or apologising. I could hear students murmuring when I bended down to pick her books. She even left the books that fell from her hand. I picked all her books and walked towards her locker to keep the books.

What I saw surprised me, I saw her accepting to be Minjae's partner for the prom night. How could she do that, I was going to ask her after exam as I know that she would be busy with her studies. After trying to ignore her for this long, I have realized that I can't stop loving her. Instead it keeps on increasing and I hoped she would give me a chance, or just check if I was fun to be around.

But it was no more worthy, I think she is interested in this Minjae, if not why would she accept to be his partner. I think it is useless to even go to prom night. I just asked random girl passing by to pass her books.
