Death Of Uncle Chad

Axel feeling really excited about what had just happened, spent the day out with his bicycle, before he realized it got dark and he headed home only to find Uncle Chad outside by the front porch
Uncle Chad: Didn't you forget something?
**Axel's phone rings**
Uncle Chad: Don't even answer that, but it's good to know that it's working, you owe your aunt an apology, big time, now get in there
Axel faces her
Axel: I'm sorry Aunt Rose, I was-
Aunt Rose: You don't have to apologize
Uncle Chad: Of course he has to apologize! You're my wife and you had to walk home just because Axel forgot when I clearly told him to remember
Aunt Rose: Chad sweetheart honestly I'm perfectly capable of walking home-
Uncle Chad: Stop defending him!
Aunt Rose: I'm not defending-
Uncle Chad: You are defending him!
**Uncle Chad turns to Axel**
Uncle Chad: I look at you, and it's like I'm looking at your father, he never followed his responsibilities but at least he did more than you
Axel: Oh really..
There's a brief silence in the room
Axel: So where is he then?
Uncle Chad: *confused* What?
Axel: He didn't think it was his responsibility to be here for me, hm?
Uncle Chad: Oh come on how dare y-
Axel: How dare I? How dare you!
There's another brief silence in the room, and suddenly Axel storms off through the front door and slams the door behind him
Aunt Rose: Leave him alone for a little while he'll be alright
Uncle Chad slowly walks toward the front door and opens it and starts to call out for Axel
**Axel's POV**
I stormed off not knowing where to go, not knowing what to do, I just wanted to get out of the house
I ended up going into this lonely alley and I just sat by the fence, I was thinking about what had just happened and home is where I least wanted to be
Suddenly a masked person walked into the alley and spotted me
Masked person: Hey you, don't you know this alley is my alley
Axel: Look I don't want any problems man, I'll just go
Masked person: Well you should've thought about that before coming into this alley
He then pulls out a gun towards me
Uncle Chad runs into the alley and attacks the guy
Uncle Chad: Run Axel!
I ran but I kept looking back at Uncle Chad
Uncle Chad: Go! Just go!
I kept running when suddenly I hear a gun go off, and everything is quiet
I hurry back into the alley, to see my uncle's lifeless body on the floor
I slowly kneel next to his body, trying to stop the bleeding from his gunshot wound
Axel: Oh god no! Uncle Chad, Uncle Chad! Call an ambulance, someone call an ambulance! Uncle Chad, Uncle Chad! Oh god, Oh my god! Nooo!
**2 hours later**
Police show up at my house to talk to Aunt Rose while others go check out the crime scene
Officer: Did your husband have any enemies?
Aunt Rose: *tearing up* No, not that I know of
Officer: Are you sure ma'am?
Aunt Rose: Yeah I'm sure
Officer: I'm sorry for your loss ma'am, we'll be taking serious matter in this case, don't worry
Aunt Rose: *nods her head* Thank you Officer
As the officer gets up, he walks to me and asks me questions
Officer: Did you see what the perpetrator looked like?
Axel: No, he had a mask on
Officer: We will find out who it is, but if you figure anything out give us a call
I nod my head as the officer leaves
I then look at Aunt Rose, who's tearing up a lot
I couldn't help but feel guilty
I went up to my room and played a voicemail Uncle Chad left me awhile back
Uncle Chad: **voicemail message** Axel, I know things have been difficult lately, take it from an old man who didn't end up where he wanted to be in life, but if I'm hard on you it's because I want you to be different, I don't want you to end up like me
The next day at school I walked over to my locker while everyone stared at me
Mark: Yo Axel
Axel: Not today Mark
Mark: Come on man I just wanna talk
Mark suddenly lays his hand on my shoulder and I grab him and pin him up to the lockers
Scarlett walks into the hall, watching Axel
Mark: It feels better right?.. Look.. your uncle died.. I'm sorry..
He says with a sorrowful look on her face
I stare back at him with tears in my eyes and then I put him down walk off
As I walk off, Scarlett stands in front of me
Scarlett: Axel..
Scarlett hugged me but I break free and walk off
**Scarlett turns around to look at him as he walks off with a sad look on her face**
*A few hours later*
I was in my room sitting on my bed, just thinking about Uncle Chad's death
Axel: **in his head** I really wish I didn't go out that night, Uncle Chad wouldn't have died
*Aunt Rose knocks on the door*
Axel: Come in
Aunt Rose opens the door and walks in
Aunt Rose: Hey sweetie, how you doin?
Axel: Not good
Aunt Rose: We'll get through this okay
Axel: *tearing up* No..
Aunt Rose: Hey.. look at me.. Uncle Chad's death affected everybody.. we all miss him.. but don't you think he wants to see you happy? He wouldn't want you to be sad.. do it for him please
Axel: I can try, but no promises
Aunt Rose: Just the fact that you're willing to try is enough for me
Aunt Rose hugs him as she then reassures him that Uncle Chad will get the justice he deserves
I continue to look out of my window with tears in my eyes
Aunt Rose sees my reflection on the window and decides to give me some space
Axel: **looks up at the sky** I'm sorry Uncle Chad..
