I wake up dazed and confused. My head is pounding.
I try to stand up but a sharp pain rattles my bones, and I fall.

The sun is shining through my curtains. I can barely remember what happened last night... Only that my dad was drunk and came into my room...Then it's just blank..

I grunt as I pull myself off of the floor. I pull some clothes on slowly. I hide the cuts, bruises and blood on my face and neck with concealer, so there's no suspicion.

I grab my bass and leave the house.

"You're late today, y/n." Mickey says to me.

"I'm sorry." I say quietly.

"It's okay. Take a seat and prepare." He says.

I am in immense pain the entire lesson, but conceal it as best I can. I can't let anyone know about my dad's doings. That'll just make it worse.

The lesson finishes, and I go to leave, but Mickey stops me.

"Your performance dropped significantly today. Are you alright?" He asks me.

"I'm fine." I say to him, avoiding eye contact.

"Y/n, I can tell when something's wrong. What's up? You can talk to me.." He says softly.

"I'm Fine." I repeat, firmly.

"Please y/n..." He sighs. "I just want to make sure you're okay..."

"I'm Fine!" I shout, loosing my temper a bit.

He's obviously taken aback by this. I've never been angry around him before.

Tears start to spill down my cheeks, and I run out of his house before he can do anything. I can hear footsteps. He's following me.

I run and run. Past my house, completely out of my neighbourhood. He still trails behind me.

I run into a forest. He's still behind me.

"GO AWAY MICKEY. I NEED TO BE ALONE!" I scream at him.

"I'm worried about you y/n... You haven't been yourself lately." He sighs.

"I. AM. FINE." I shout at him.

"Okay. Fine. I'll leave you be. I'll be here for you whenever you need me." He says, and walks off.

I fall to my knees and sob.
I've fucked up. Like I always do. My Father is right. I'm just a fucking mistake.

I decide to sing to myself. That always seems to cheer me up.

"Sing it out...Boy, you've got to see what tomorrow brings...Sing it out...Girl, you've got to be what tomorrow needs...For every time... that they want to count you out... use your voice... every single time you open up your mouth..." I begin to sing Sing by mcr softly.

"Sing it for the boys, Sing it for the girls, every time that you loose it sing it for the world...
Sing it from the heart, sing it 'till you're nuts, sing it out for the ones that hate your guts... sing it for the deaf, sing it for the blind, sing about everyone that you left behind...Sing it for the world, sing it for the world..." I belt out into the silence.

Half an hour later, i start to head home.

I head to my room as soon as I walk in the door.

"Worthless piece of shit." My dad remarks as I walk past.

*TRIGGER WARNING*

I shut my door.

There's a sharpener on my desk.

Should I...?

All i have to do is undo a screw...

I walk towards the sharpener and hold it in my hand.

I fucking deserve it. I've fucked up my friendship with Mickey and i'm just an absolute waste of space.

I start to unwind the screw.

I really am just a worthless mistake.

The blade falls into the palm of my hand.

Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it-

I press the cold metal to my skin. Deep red liquid flows out of my arm. The pain burns. It feels good.

I do it again.
And again.
And again.

I can't stop. I deserve this. I deserve all the pain in the world.

I snap back into reality suddenly. I drop the blade on the floor and start to cry. My arm is drenched in blood. I did so many cuts.

I quickly put on a hoodie to hide them and run to the bathroom to clean myself up.

Once i've cleaned up, I notice the amount of cuts. My arm is caked in them.

"oh my god..." I mutter to myself shakily. "What have i done..."

*TRIGGER WARNING END*
