I came to the third door which was yellow with a black zigzag. I realized I was in the world of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. "Huh, there's a spring dance?" I asked looking at a poster in a school hallway. "Haven't you heard about it?" Lucy asked. "Everyone is talking about it." "I'm going with my Sweet Baboo." Sally told me. "I am not your Sweet Baboo!" Linus called out. "Isn't he the cutest thing!" Sally admired. "Say, you're not from around here!" Lucy figured out. "No, I'm Christy." I answered. "Well, it's ok if you go to the dance alone. In fact, Charlie Brown is used to it." Violet said. "And I'm going with Schroeder. I know it!" Lucy said. "I am not going to dance with you!" Schroeder told her. "Sorry, about them. I'll be happy to show you around." "Oh, thank you!" I said. "I wouldn't know where to go."
"Hmp. One day in this school and she is the only girl to tear him away from his piano." Lucy said, pretty jealous. "So, I hear you play Fur Elise pretty well." I said to him. "Hey, you know Beethoven?" Schroeder asked. "A little, I'm an artist of many talents, but there is no way I could play the piano that good. In fact the only instruments I practiced was a clarinet and a violin." "I could teach you sometime if you like." Schroeder offered. "Cool." I answered. "I haven't met anyone who was interested." Schroeder said. "Anyways, this is the classroom. We have lunch outside."
Soon the tour was over and class began. Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah. "I'm Christy." I answered. "Yes, I just moved here." Wah Wah Wah Wah. "What was the question?" Peppermint Patty asked. Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah. "Yeah, I'll read the next chapter of the history book." Peppermint Patty answered. Soon it was lunch time and we all went outside. "I can't believe I got my own shirt stuck in the pencil sharpener again!" Charlie Brown exclaimed. "It's embarrassing! The Little Red Haired Girl will never go to the Spring dance with me!" "I can put in a good word in for you!" I told him. "Could you? It'll work much better if another girl talks to her." Charlie Brown asked. "Sure." I answered, looking for The Little Red Haired Girl. "Hi, I am Christy. I'm new in town, but Charlie Brown over there is extremely nervous about asking you to the Spring dance." "Charlie Brown?" She asked. "Oh, yes. He got stuck in the pencil sharpener!" "That's right, it may not be his best moment, but he is pretty nice. He just..." "I know. You can tell him that I would be happy to go with him." She said. "Great! He'll be happy to hear that." I said, hurrying to Charlie Brown. "You're all set. The pencil sharpener incident hadn't ruined your chances." "Thanks!" Charlie Brown told me. "I've got a date with The Little Red Haired Girl!" "Now I guess you should have lunch with her, so you can get to know her." I suggested. "I don't know." Charlie Brown answered. "What if she changes her mind?" "You'll have to talk to her sooner or later." I told him. "Maybe." Charlie Brown said.
Then The Little Red Haired Girl came to him and asked, "So, you're Charlie Brown?" "I'll be leaving you alone now" I said walking away. "So how is your first day in class, so far?" Schroeder asked. "Not too bad." I answered. "Looks like Charlie Brown is doing well." Schroeder pointed out, "What did you say to her?" "Not too much, just that he was nervous about asking her to the Spring dance and that even though he had gotten himself stuck in the pencil sharpener, he's pretty nice." I answered. "Would you like to join me for lunch?" Schroeder asked. "Alright!" I answered. "That Schroeder! He never pays any attention to me!" Lucy exclaimed. "What is the matter with him! I'm a pretty face!" "Who needs him anyways!" Violet told her. "You're too good for him." "That's it, I need to get him jealous!" Lucy exclaimed. "Who should be the fortunate one to spend time with me for the day?" She looked around. "You think it'll work?" Violet asked, "I still say you should forget him." "Oh, Charlie Brown!" Lucy exclaimed. "You're not going to use Charlie Brown! He's a blockhead!" Violet exclaimed. "Don't you have standards!" "That's the point, Charlie Brown is so gullible he wouldn't even know what hit him." Lucy answered. "Excuse me for a moment." Charlie Brown said to The Little Red Haired Girl. "What is it, Lucy?"
