Chapter 23: Stabbed

Your POV

" Let go of the box, Sanemi. " I calmly said, he just looked at me and grinned at Tanjiro.

" What are you trying to pull here exactly? " He asked Tanjiro.

" I said, LET GO OFF THE FUCKING BOX! " I yelled at him with my one eye turning pink.

" Or what? You're gonna eat me? " Sanemi asked me with a grin, I was about to charge at him when a female kakushi followed and chased him.

" Please, Lord Shinazugawa. I must ask you to put down that box. " A female kakushi told him, Shinobu then slowly stood up. I know she's already mad.

" Calm down. " Giyuu told me, my eyes widen and I looked at him. He gently took my hand and held it.

" Shinazugawa, please don't act out of line. " Shinobu told him.

" What did you say kid? Fight alongside with you to protect humans? Pathetic, you idiot! " Sanemi said and took his sword, he stabbed the box, penetrating it and drawing some blood.

Tanjiro immediately jolted up and stood in front of Sanemi. " Anyone who harms my sister will pay! I don't care if you're a hashira! " Tanjiro yelled at Sanemi. Sanemi just laughed evilly and pulled his sword out of the box.

" How nice of you. " Sanemi said with his usual grin. Tanjiro growled and charged at him

" Enough! The master will be arriving soon! " Giyuu yelled to halt them but Tanjiro never stopped. Sanemi swung his sword at Tanjiro, Tanjiro leaped to avoid it and head butted Sanemi.

They both fell into the ground, we just all stared at them. Mitsuri stopped herself from laughing, we all stared at her and she then hid her face. " Pardon me. " She said shyly.

Tanjiro immediately went in front of the box and guarded it. " Damn you... " Sanemi said while struggling to stand up with his head and nose bleeding.

" If you can't tell the difference of good demons and bad ones, then you shouldn't be a hashira! " Tanjiro yelled at Sanemi.

" You good for nothing bastard. I'll destroy the both of you! " Sanemi said and took his sword, I immediately stood in front of Sanemi to stop him and guard Tanjiro.

" Guess I have to destroy you as well. " He said and aimed his sword on my neck, I just smirked at him.

" Oyakata-sama, has arrived. "

We heard and we all turned around to see Oyakata-sama. I ignored Sanemi and flicked his sword away using a water, his eyes widen and I just went to Giyuu.

" Good Morning to you all, the weather is wonderful today. Maybe the sky is blue? Finding ourselves here at the semi-annually gathering with all the same faces, I'm glad. " Oyakata-sama said. We immediately bowed to him, Sanemi pushed Tanjiro's head into the ground. I glared at Sanemi and was about to open my mouth when Giyuu held my hand. I just sighed and lowered my head.

" I am pleased to see you in good health as well, Oyakata-sama. I pray for your continuous recovery and good fortune. " Sanemi told Oyakata-sama. I slowly turned my eyes to see Tanjiro staring at us, I gently smiled at him and his eyes widen.

" Thank you, Sanemi. " Oyakata-sama said.

" Oyakata-sama, if I may before we start. I wanted to clarify things about this swordsman who's being accompanied by a demon " Sanemi said with respect.
