Chapter 21: Against the rules

Your POV

I kept running and searching for Giyuu, I think I'm already lost. I decided to climb up a tree and started leaping.

Giyuu's POV

I saw a kid on the ground and being attacked by the demon, I immediately ran to him and swung my sword to save his life by swiftly cutting the threads. I then landed in front of him to protect him.

" You did a good job holding out until I got here. Leave the rest to me. " I told the kid.

" You're like an endless stream of lowlifes always getting in my way! " the demon said. I just looked at him.

" Demon Blood Art: Cutting Thread Rotation! "

" Total Concentration... Water Breathing... Eleventh Form: Dead Calm. "

None of his attacks worked, the demons eyes widen in shock. I slowly went to him.

" That's impossible! " He yelled and raised both of his hands, " One more time! " He yelled and I calmly slashed his head off in a blink of an eye.

" Nezuko. " I heard the kid say and he went to the girl. I can see the demon slowly heading towards them, his body slowly scorching. He fell unto the ground in front of them. The demon raised his hand like his trying to reach them, his hand then fell.

The boy looked at him and placed his hand on the demons back, my eyes widen upon seeing it.

' The kid showed kindness even to a demon. ' I thought, the demon then slowly disappeared. I went to them, the boy's eyes widen when I stepped on the demon's clothes.

" Don't waste any sympathy on a demon that devoured humans. It doesn't matter even if it looks like a child. It's still a monster that lived for decades. " I told the kid.

" To avenge those people who were killed, to make sure there are no more victims. " He said and tightly gripped the demon's clothes. " Of course I'll bring my blade down on any demon's neck without mercy! " He continued.

" But as for those for whom being a demon meant despair, those who regretted their actions, I will never trample on them! Because they were once humans too! Just like me, they were humans too! " He said slowly pulling the demon's clothes off my feet.

" So please, step off him! " He told me.

" They're not hideous monsters at all! Demons are hopeless creatures! They're tragic creatures! " He told me and gritted his teeth, I just stared at him.

" I finally found you! " I heard a familiar voice, I slowly looked above and saw (y/n) descending towards us.

" Sorry, I got lost. But thanks to these butterflies I found you. " She said and scratched her head, she then looked at the kids. Her eyes widen.

" Ta-Tanjiro? " She asked the boy, I looked at him again and at the girl with a bamboo muzzle, that's when I realized and remembered it was them whom we told to go to Urokodaki-san 2 years ago.

I then saw (y/n) took her sword out and went in front of the two kids, I saw Shinobu heading towards our direction. I immediately went in front of her and guarded them, making Shinobu and my sword clash.

" Ara? " Shinobu said and landed on the ground, her eyes widen when she saw (y/n).

" Ara ara~ (y/n)-chan. You've become a demon, I see it's full moon tonight. But why would you two get in my way? " Shinobu asked us.
