Chapter 3: I still have you

Your POV 

" I'm glad you're awake. " I heard someone said. 

" G-Giyuu? " I asked and I heard him sniffed. I slowly turned my head towards him. His left eye was bandaged. I can see his been crying.

" I'm so glad you're alive. " He told me, I smiled at him. I gently caressed his cheek, his eyes widen.

" How long have you been crying? " I asked him, but he didn't answer. 

" I'm sorry... " I told him and let my tears flow. " I wasn't able to protect him. " I continued, he took a deep sighed and hugged me. 

" No, I'm sorry. I was the one who caused you guys so much burden. " He said blaming himself. 

" No, you not. Don't worry about it. It's all my fault. I let him go against that demon alone. " I told Giyuu, he shook his head in disbelief. 

" No, I am. All I did was pass out. I'm sorry. I'm such a failure. " Giyuu said crying. 

" Stop saying that! " I yelled at him, he stopped sobbing and looked at me. 

" He sacrificed himself for us. He didn't want me to die along with him, because... " I stopped and took a deep breath and looked at him in the eye. 

" I still have you. " I told him and his eyes widen. He cried even more. 

" I can't die, not yet. As long as you're still living, I'll keep on living as well. " I told him, we both hugged. 

" Yet, I'm sorry. I wasn't able to save him " I told Giyuu. 

' But I swear! I'm gonna protect you no matter what, Giyuu. '  I told myself and wiped my tears away. 

~ Flashback ~ 

" You better be sure about that, (y/n). I will never forgive you if Giyuu dies. " He said with a serious tone. 

~ End of Flashback ~ 

' I'm sure of it. ' 

" He's the only one who didn't make it. " Giyuu told me. I clinched my teeth and tried to stop myself from crying. I looked at my leg and looked at him. 

" Am I gonna protect you with one leg? " I asked Giyuu jokingly. He sighed. 

" Nope, don't worry. A doctor came to check you up yesterday and he told me it'll heal. " Giyuu said and I sighed in relief. 

" Guess I'm too young to lose a leg, how about your eye? " I said and asked him. 

" Same, it'll heal. It's not that deep. " He answered. 

" That's good to hear. " I told him, I can feel him like he wanted to cry.

I took his hand and told him, " Just let it all out. " and he did. I cried with him as well. 

~ Time skip, we went back home ~ 

Giyuu was supporting me because of my broken leg, I tried to tell him that I can handle myself, I'm getting a hang of using clutches anyway, but he kept on insisting. 

" I can see the hut! " I told Giyuu happily and he smiled. 

" So do I. " He said sounding relieved.  We were about to open the door when we arrived, but the door immediately slid open revealing Urokodaki-san. He immediately hugged Giyuu and I. 

Giyuu and I cried while hugging Urokodaki-san back, we can hear him sobbing as well.

" I'm glad you two made it. " He said trying to control his voice.
