Pulling away from the hug, Namjoon gave the Alpha a wide, dimpled smile. "What do you say? You think you're up for it Jackson?"
Scrunching his face, Jackson eyed the other Alpha, Namjoon sounding far too happy about receiving his help.
"Hmm, i don't know. What in particular does my participation imply?"
He watched with an eyebrow raised as Namjoon's lips formed into a tight smile. "You would just be helping with the transportation."
Jackson could hear Namjoon's heartbeat quicken and squinted his eyes at the other in an attempt to 'see through the bullshit,' allowing Namjoon enough time to elaborate further.
"... and making a bit of a distraction."
Jackson clicked his tongue softly before crossing his arms over his chest in a joking manner.
As mischievous as ever, he spoke in a mildly offended tone, his wolf joyous at the deceiving sound. "Mhmm, and when exactly were you planning on telling me that tiny little detail?"
Namjoon's face fell and panic became present in his eyes at the other's insulted appearance. "I was going to, I swear, it just.. slipped my mind."
Jackson tried his hardest to keep a straight face, his chest filling with a silly amount of pride as he was able to get such a rise out of his friend.
He slowly uncrossed his arms, sighing dramatically as he waved his hand softly like he was shooing mosquitoes away. "Well, I guess I'll have to take your word for it since making our loving, levelheaded, and totally not irritable, Wooyoung wait any longer is basically asking for trouble."
Namjoon let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding and nodded his head in agreement. He'd readied his exhausted body to set off into the forest when Jackson cleared his throat, stopping him in his tracks.
Turning to face the other, Namjoon found a sheepish grin plastered on the Alpha's face.
"There is one thing I need first..."
...
All was silent in the deep confines of the forest, with the exception of heavy footsteps trudging through thick mud, cool breeze gracefully weaving it's way through the dense trees scattered all around the wood.
The frigid air sent a shiver down Wooyoung's spine, making him wish he hadn't used his warm sweater to wrap a certain boy's wounds.
'I could've just asked Joon to hand his over, it's not like he's actually gonna be using it.'
Sighing at his own foolishness, he gripped the boy in his arms tighter, making sure to put an even amount of pressure on the bullet wound.
With every wobbly step he took, Wooyoung wondered how Namjoon had made it this far without dying, knowing very well the extent of the boy's clumsiness.
He groaned internally as the muddy ground almost caused his feet to slide out from under him, his muscles aching from the extra weight the young Alpha provided as he steadied himself.
There was a time were this sort of thing would have proved no challenge for him, but as of now, his body is just too weak to handle such ill treatment.
After just a few moments, the almost peaceful silence became interrupted yet again by the ever increasing whines of Jungkook'.
" 'm oka-" He began in a quiet tone but was quickly cut off by the tired Omega.
