(Geralt's POV)

After about thirty minutes of driving, we arrived to the city. It shone like a oceanic nebula in the night. The thunderstorm had already hit the facility and wasn't too far from the city. Life blossomed in Valkaya. Cars passing by. The restaurants and bars always filled to the brim with those eager to forget about their worries and woes for a small time. Valkaya was something special to those who weren't privileged enough to live in the city. Those who weren't privileged enough to live in the city took refuge within the slums on the outskirts of the city. I used to live in the slums until Winston hired me as a partner detective. The slum has bars too. Most of the time the bars were just used as an area for criminals to meet up for planning or a place where someone can get a hitman to do their dirty work. My mother still tended to a small bar near my birth home in the East Marrow. I was wanting to visit her but with this case I wasn't sure I would be able to for awhile.
"Our world sure is beautiful... isn't son?" Winston asked me as he ever so often took in the azure appeal of the city. The old man and I took in the sight of the bustling city all in. "I wish I could take a day off from this case and visit Ruby again." Ruby was the owner of the very creatively named... Ruby's Bar. She was known to make the best wines and ales in the Northern Precinct. She also had a kind heart.
"It is." I replied. "When was the last time you were at Ruby's Bar?" I asked him.
       "Seven years ago." he replied.

       "Damn..."

After about 30 minutes of driving we finally made it back to the office. We got in our parking space, exited the car and made our way inside the office. As Winston closed the door thunder clapped as soon the storm was about to be upon us. Winston and I hung out coats up and we went to our business with the case. I went over to my desktop computer and began taking notes about what happened today and what things we got accomplished in the aspect of profiling. That was my main job... profiling. Figuring out how people tick, even the richest of people. As I worked at taking notes, Winston had went to his work desk inserted the USB into his computer and began going over the video feed. Thunder clapped loudly and rain began to pour.

As for me, I still had some people I wanted to meet. Victoria was a warm up for profiling for my first case, wouldn't necessarily count her as a suspect, but I'd never know. Scarlet is just a troubled genius looking for answers to what happened. The next person I was looking forward to speaking to was Rena but that may not happen for awhile due to her obsession with Rebirth. For a moment I was lost on who to interrogate, but then my eyes went back to the the VSI bio database.

Halleth Maides, Winston's old boss when he worked for the VIS. I found her to be a very suspicious of the whole breakout. With Winston finding the footage of them negotiating with the Faunheissers a day before the breakout, the whole investigation into what happened ten years ago stopped immediately by the Faunheisser sisters... was all too coincidental. I was planning on using the weekend to relax and think this over. A rested mind is one that will get the job done. After finishing my notes and saving them, I shutdown the computer and went over and put my coat on again. About an hour and a half had passed since we arrived to the office.
"Got everything organized?" Winston asked me while looking over the footage.
"Yes, all profiles for our case is gathered for today, old man." I told him.
"Geralt," he stopped me before I exited the office. I looked back at him.
      "Yeah boss?"
"Take it easy this weekend, son" he said. "We have a long road ahead."
"Sure thing boss..." I said heading out of the office.

The weekend was not going to go down how we expected it to.
