(Minutes Earlier)
(Unknown POV)
I sat silently in my vehicle watching the meeting go down between Bethel and Detective Winston. A nice fog had developed throughout the city ever since the storm hit so I had a nicely cloaked parking spot where I could watch this conversation go down. I was wondering to myself why I accepted this job in a moral standpoint... to spy on these two detectives. I guess all of these kidnappings on the news would get the attention of any small detective business looking forward to make a name for themselves. I flopped my tail ever so often in boredom over this mission. Sure it was great pay for a Caninian like myself, but the constant staring was starting to get to me.
"Galena, Helen wants you back at base. She thinks she has a pretty good idea of who we are up against." a voice said in my headset. I pressed my comm button.
"10-4, give me a moment to let the two part ways and I'll be on my way. Also, I have a couple of things to inform command about."
       "All ears, Galena."
"You can expect one of the detectives to possibly be at the Moonlight Restaurant tonight. Considering that's where Litham was last seen on television." I told her.
       "Understood."
We cut comms for a moment. I watched as Bethel parted from the detective's door and got in her vehicle. Winston shut himself back into his apartment.
"Galena, you have new orders from Helen." she suddenly came back.
       "Yes?"
"9719...at Moonlight Restaurant. Your pay has been tripled for this objective to 90,000 credits." she told me.
My eyes widened. 90,000 credits? A plant for 90,000 credits? How did they have this much money? The credits though spoke loud enough... I could not refuse. I needed the money.
"You have a deal..." I said with confidence.
"Excellent." she said. "You can make your way to the following coordinates and you'll receive further information on how this will be executed."
     "Understood." I sighed.
I started the car and I pulled out of the  parking space and then drove off. I had multiple things to consider while I was on this long gruesome ride to the East Precinct.
