Brooke POV

It started like any other day. I mean that's a cliche thing people say before saying everything went to hell, right? Well, it did for a little bit, here's the story.

I walked to the Wyrm to pick my boyfriend up from his shift and a much-needed drink. I heard feet behind me as I turned the street, "Hello?" I called as I saw nothing. I turned back around, thinking it was some leaves. "Hi, Brookie," The haunting voice of Penny Peabody spoke in front of me. Cue the suspenseful music.

"Penny," I tensed. "What do you need now?" She gave a smile. I hate that smile. Means everything is about to be ripped away from you, "Any idea why your boyfriend isn't answering calls?" She asked. I shrugged, "He's working a shift right now, I'm about to pick him up." I took a step to keep walking, "Not so fast," She stopped me, "I guess we're gonna speed up the process of his acknowledgment."

"Penny," I say quietly hoping she's not saying what I think she's saying, "He's got business I took care of for him a little bit ago and he's been putting off his payment for me. So," She looked behind me and whistled. "You're go-." I heard her say, then everything went black.

I woke up, strapped to a metal chair, and wrists burning from a rope. "Brookie you're awake!" I hear a door open as my eyes burned when I opened them, "What'd you do to me?" I asked hoarsely. She knelt in front of me, "Some injections, some legal some not, who's to say," She smirked, "Malachi!" She called the boy I didn't notice in the dark corner of the room.  "Rough her up a little bit," She said looking back at me, "I gotta make a call." My eyes widened with my imagination running wild.

She laughed as she left the room, leaving Malachi to plan his torture, "Alright Princess what should we start with first?" He asked as his knife grazed my skin. I flinched, trying to getaway.  I mean how could I? I was strapped to a chair but you're not in the right state of mind when someone might kill you, "Don't worry I won't kill you," He laughed, almost like he read my mind. "Oh gee, that's great, thanks, hoping you wouldn't," I replied sarcastically.

He made a face, "Ooo Princess has a mouth." "I'm not a princess,"  I grunted, still trying to loosen from the rope. "Well anyway, I think I should start with your face, hmm, nice cheekbones," He thought as he made a line down one. I whimpered as it started to bleed. "Aaa some nice blush," He joked.

"Nice legs too. You know, guys like sexy legs. I bet your boyfriend loves them," He said as he ran his hand down my quad. "What the hell are you gonna do," I growled. I mean he's got a pocket knife, it's not like he can cut them off but hey, I'm on a bunch of drugs. He drags his knife down where his fingers just traced causing me to groan and try to get out more. Damn it my legs are tied too. So much for kicking him in the balls. "Oop can't forget to leave my mark," He says as he carves an 'M' in my other quad.

I screamed in the pain as Penny walked back in, "Yea she's just having some fun with Malachi nothing to worry about," She says as she shows the camera to me. "Leave her alone Penny I'll come and give you what you want just stop making him hurt her," Sweetpea pleaded. My heart broke at his voice, I mean if I was in his place, I'd be a mess.

"Sorry the volume was too low, what'd you say?" She faked, "I think he wants you to hurt her more," She says to Malachi, "No!" He yelled as I faintly heard him start his motorcycle. "I'm coming baby hold on!" He calls. "Stab her," Penny tells him as he stabs me in the arm, "Aaarghhh!!" I scream as blood started to fall quicker then I wanted. Well, I didn't want any to fall but here we are. She hung up the call and moved to the corner where Malachi previously was with her arms crossed and a smile.

"Sssh Princess you'll wake the neighbors," He joked as he cut my lip. I winced at the contact as blood started to fill my mouth, "There now you'll shut up," He concluded. I spit the blood on him and he sighs, "I just- really? On my favorite shirt?" He asks annoyed. He cut my collarbone in response, making me groan in pain. Either I have the worst pain tolerance or some of these drugs heightened the pain.

I barely hear the door being blasted open and through the tears, I see four people burst in and start yelling. I didn't care who it was, all that I cared about is that Malachi stopped. I remember someone untying me and then I collapsed, blacking out from blood loss.

I opened my eyes, blinking to adjust to the brightness. "Brooke?" I heard a familiar voice. "Sweetpea?" I asked relieved. I recognized where I was, his bed. A nice feeling after cold metal. He exhaled as he hugged me, a little too hard. I winced as he realized, "Oh sorry baby, you're safe now, they're not coming back," He laughed and explained, I close my eyes in relief, "Thank you. Is there any water here?" I asked, "Yeah yeah," He handed me a bottle as I sat up, "Careful babe," He said concerned. I smiled reassuringly, "I'm ok, I'm not a wounded animal. Who showed up?" "Toni, me, Fangs, and Jughead," He replied placing a hand on my knee. I flinched away as he pulled back, "I'm sorry," I say, "I'm just a little shaken up."

He smiled understandingly but I saw the heartbreak behind his eyes, "It's ok, I'm just glad you're alive." "Ha me too," I joked looking down. He laughed, happy I still had my sarcasm, "Tell them thanks for coming, even though, you know, I'm not a serpent," I tell him taking a sip, "Of course, you're family to them," He responds, "Well whatever you need I'm here." I missed him so much, "I want a kiss," I tease. He laughed as he kissed me, "Whatever you need," He repeated. "I love you," He says pulling away, my eyes traced his face, "I love you too but I'm sleepy," I replied rubbing my eyes. "Alright, I'll be in the living room," Sweetpea says as he stands up. I lay back down, happy to be safe, and happy Sweetpea was here for everything. I'm definitely gonna marry him one day.
