"What are you doing in my room?"

The sudden hoarse voice coming from behind made me turn my head back in such a slow motion, it was almost comical. My face was already burning with mortification, and I noticed no one else but Obito leaning against the doorframe with his arms folded under his wide chest. Eyes motionless and an unreadable face. The eerie calm before the storm. I visibly gulped and stood up to my full 5'5 height, trying in vain to form any word or excuse my brain would come up with, but it was steaming with ways on how to react.

"I...uh.."

Great. Apparently, I'd lost my only talent to mouth off to people.

The Uchiha just kept staring at me with those hooded, unblinking eyes of his while standing still and all unfazed.

Sudden realization struck me that my lazy ass hadn't closed the door shut but left it slightly open, so I hadn't heard him entering his bedroom on time. My other theory was that he had passed through the walls like a ghost. Which seemed pretty impossible given that his head was as thick as brick.

"Well?" The intense tone of his voice echoed throughout the room, making me flinch on my spot at once.

"I..I was looking for the bathroom," my stupid ass decided to speak up.

He tweaked his eyebrow at me. "Does this look like a bathroom to you?"

No, because a toilet seat would probably be much cleaner than your bed.

"No?"

"Is that a question or an answer?"

"No."

Obito was tapping his finger on his upper arm, his eyes processing and measuring my movements altogether like a wild animal before feeding on his prey. The tension in the room was so heavy, I prayed the ground would swallow me up and spit me in my bed so that I would hide myself under my fluffy blanket. What the hell? Did I have low blood sugar, or was this guy really that intimidating?

The click of the lock jolted my nerves and had my heart leaping into my throat. Eerie silence sprawled upon the room as if I suddenly fell into an alternate, surreal dimension where the music's bass sounded from miles away even if it was literally on the other side of the wall behind. Obito shoved his hands in the pockets of his black cargos and walked towards me with slow and stiff steps without breaking eye contact with me; his glare was something between 'don't- you dare -run away- right- now' and
'let's-see-how-fast-you-can-run-little-bunny'.

Just a piece of advice I should share. Some things are better left unsaid. Which I generally realize right after I said them.

"What have I told you about sneaking up on me, you little freakshow? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" That's what my stupid mouth finally blurted out during that crucial moment.

His gaze became even darker like the depths of a well as he stood a few inches before my comparatively smaller frame. It felt like his black eyes would drill a hole in my head. I was screwed in so many ways for choosing to provoke a ravenous predator by intruding his nest.

I took a step backward, desperately needing some space, and I gasped when the heels of my shoes hit the foot of the bed. His lips curved into a victorious smirk yet his eyes didn't even waver even in a split second.
