Thisissoridiculous. Whatthehellhave you been thinking, Jun?
My reflection staring back at me through the mirror was like a strange parody of myself. So, long story short, I had not a single costume available for tonight, I must have left it somewhere in a box the day we'd moved in, and the Goddess of Laziness whom I praised since I could remember myself had told me not to search for it. That being said, I had to compromise and use the only decent power I had left. MAKEUP.
Temari had sent me a message with instructions that I couldn't label as enlightening enough for my case: Tem👱♀️ 'COSTUME? FORTHELOVEOFGOD, girl, you'regoingto a freakin' nightclub, theskimpierthebetter'.
I sighed, sliding down the hanger with a dress to examine myself for the last time.
Black vinyl skirt, a pair of fishnet stockings, a t-shirt picturing Marilyn Manson saying 'Ibelieveinhateatfirstsight', a pair of over the knee boots, red eyeshadow, pointed eyeliner for dramatic effect, some facial painted details here and there which with a bit of luck would be glowing with UV light-as I hoped so- and for the last a hairband with a pair of devil's horns.
Yeah, I couldn'tgooutlikethat.
Then I glanced up at the clock on my wall.
Shit!
I didn't have time to get changed!!!!
As on cue, I heard the doorbell ring downstairs and instantly could tell that it would be Temari waiting for me. Her deep voice along with her thick accent greeting Guren echoed throughout the living room, signaling for me to slip my jacket on and then head downstairs after checking myself in the mirror for one last time with a deep breath, mumbling to myself that everything would be just fine.
