Belle and I were excused and she lead me through a series of hallways and then eventually into the attic, Andi's room. As I opened the door. I saw beautiful, colorful art. Pictures drawn, painted, photographed everywhere. They were all done by Andi. Her one wall was just a collage of pictures, my eyes were drawn to a black and white collage heart in the middle of it. I immediately realized every picture included in it was somone or something that mattered to her. Mostly her family along with my grandparents. A pang of longing occured knowing that my grandparents refused to see my mom and I. I couldn't help but notice that Max was in a decent amount as well. The rest were from the headfront, and some dogs. I walked around to the other side and saw a picture her mother had painted for her. A picture of two dogs. It was signed, From Mom XOXO To Andrianna. "Whose dogs are that?" I said pointing to the picture along with implying the pictures from before. "They are our dogs. The Cocker Spaniel is Bijou and the French Bulldog is Noir." "Andrianna?" "Andi hated her full name. It's customary on dad's side for the family that the eldest girl is named after his great grandmother. So Andrianna It was. Nobody in our family was too fond of it so we settled for calling her, Andi. On her gravestone, it says, Andi. Dad's mother wasn't too happy." "Why haven't I seen the dogs?" "They have to stay outside while we're eating. If you wanted we can go and get them?" "I'm sorry but could I just look a little longer?" "Of course!! i Spend most of my time up here anyways, it reminds me of her." I nodded and we sat in a comfortable silence admiring the pictures. A little while later we walked down the steps. "I have to help mum clean up, but just call their names and they'll come." "Ok!" I walked out the door and pulled up my hood because of the rain. "BIJOU, NOIR?" Bijou came running but stopped and looked at me curiously. I chuckled. "I know Bijou I'm not your owner but its ok. C'mon?" He hesitantly came closer and then ran right past me. "NOIR??" "Looking for something?" I saw Max holding Noir. I sent Noir in. "What are you doing here?" He asked me. "Meeting my aunt, uncle, and the rest of my cousins. You?" "I saw you were here and was curious." "Ok well, now you know." He chuckled. "I guess I do." His hair was a mess and the rain made it look even cuter. His green eyes- wait what? No I can't have feelings for him. "Liz I-" My stomach fluttered. Again we were interrupted. "Lizzy what are you doing? Both dogs are inside! It's, Oh hi Max." "Hi, Mrs. Johnson." "Call me Alouette and if you must it's Miss Johnson. Lizzy, we musn't outstay our first invitation so come along." My mother gave Max a small wave and walked inside. "Bye," I said. "Wait, Liz-" I shut the door. I was scared of what he was gonna say. I didn't want to hear what he was gonna say. I wasn't supposed to fall for him and most certainly not in france. Nothing good is supposed to come of this. At the end of summer I get to go home, I can't have ties here... Can I?
