My mother came in again in the evening. She seemed sort of nervous. "Mom? What's wrong?" "Well Lizzy, I've been offered a job here in Dinan. Now I want to know what you think of staying here permanently?" I considered it, I didn't really want to, But my mom deserved to be happy. "Well, there is nothing better for me in the US than here. So if you really want to then you should take it!" "Oh, Lizzy you are the best. We'll be staying with Alain and Carissa if that's okay with you? They have plenty of room." That's true their house is huge. "Of course!" I said. I pretended to be more excited then I actually was. She wrapped me into a hug. The next day I was discharged. I had my leg wrapped in bandages and had crutches. I Was sitting in a chair out back when my mother came and joined me. "Hey Mum, I have a question." "Yes?" "What happened with you and Bradley?" She sighed. "When Bradley and I were younger we dated. We were madly in love. We dated until the summer of our freshmen year of college. I don't remember why we broke up but I know that it was over some petty little thing. The rest of that summer was miserable until your father came along. He was determined to go out with me." She said giggling at the memory. "When Bradley saw this he was mad. He then went out with Charlotte, Max's mother. Your father at the end of the summer returned to the U.S. We had a long distance relationship. Charlotte got pregnant and Bradley decided to marry her. I was heartbroken and called your father and moved to the U.S and then ended up marrying him." I thought about this for a minute and then said,"No wonder your guy's relationship didn't work out." "I loved your father very much. He just- Never mind." "Thanks mum for letting me know." She nodded, seemingly lost in thought. Mom and I went to uncle Alain's and Carissa's for dinner. We had arrived at 1 to catch up and everything. Right as we entered the house We were greeted by all of the family. "Can I tell her mum?" Belle asked Carissa for what seemed the thousandth time. "Mum you have to let her otherwise she will never shut up!" Bret said laughing. "Go ahead, Belle," Carissa said smiling. "YOU ARE GONNA HAVE ANDI'S ROOM!" I froze. "Oh no, I couldn't." "You can and you will. It would be a shame to see it not be used." Alain said. "Thank you." I said looking at Carissa. A sad smile spread across her face, "Of course." "C'mon!" Belle dragged me up the stairs to Andi's room. She wanted to know what I was going to do with the room. She seemed to be bittersweet about me taking over her room. "Probably not much... I'll keep most of it the same." I assured her. "Ok!" We sat up there for awhile and   Later on, I was in the Kitchen with Carissa. "Oh, I need someone to go and ask Max if he wants to come over for dinner. Can you go ask Bret?" "I can!" "Lizzy you are on crutches." "And I need to get out of the house." She looked at me doubtfully. "Please Just let me go." She relented. "Ok." I hobbled down the steps toward Max's house. It was a five-minute walk to his house that turned into ten on crutches. I knocked on the door to be greeted by Bradley. Shit.
