Two days past and it was now time for me to leave for the wall. I hadn't seen eve since that day, what I said obviously made her understand that we were not written in the stars. But I couldn't stop seeing her face in my mind. The way her hair would flop down in front of her eyes, the way she smiled when she saw me and the way she would always have red lips.
Uncle Benjen came and waited at the gates. Before I left I would have to say goodbye. I started with Rickon, that was easy because he didn't understand but it made it hard knowing I wouldn't see his happy face anymore. Then came Bran, he had a few tears but he wiped them away trying to not let Arya see. Arya, that was hard. She held onto me, trying not to let me leave. I would miss her the most, she was the only one of my brothers and sisters that were like me.
"Don't go" She whispered in my ear. I hugged her tight then let her go.
"Arya, you'll be alright. Take this, it will mean you'll always be my sister" I handed her a necklace that had a Direwolf head on it and she smiled at me. "I have to go now Arya, keep this with you at all times" I hugged her then headed towards the stables. I wasn't good with goodbyes, that's why I made them quick. Next was Sansa, she smiled her delicate smile and that was it. I wanted to give her a hug but I know she wouldn't be seen twice hugging her bastard brother, she doesn't even hug Rickon, never mind her bastard brother. It was time to say goodbye to Robb, he was sat in the stables with Grey Wind. "Snow, I heard you're leaving today" He said.
"Yes, turns out I am. I came to say goodbye brother" He stood up and patted me on the back.
"I'm going to miss you" He smiled.
"I'll miss you too"
"Looks like you'll have some new brothers"
"Yeah, but I'll always have my true brother" I could see Ghost and Grey Wind laid next to each other, they never did this, this must be their goodbye.
"Have fun" Robb laughed.
"I will do" I picked up my warm black cloak and wrapped it round me. "Goodbye Stark"
"Goodbye Snow" I could feel the warmth of the tears in my eyes and I saw them in Robb's aswell. I hugged him then I turned round and walked away.
Ghost followed me and then Father stood in front of my path.
"Goodbye Jon" he said. "There will always be a place for you in Winterfell"
"Thankyou Father, I hope to see you visit the wall sometime" I smiled. He smiled back and passed me a sword.
"Keep this with you at the wall, it will keep you safe. And it will also remind you of home" The sword had a Direwolf carved into the handle at the top. "This was my first sword and now it shall be yours." I couldn't believe he was giving me this. I didn't even think he thought about me anymore.
"Surely Robb should have this" I said and passed it back. He pushed it back to me and shook his head.
"No no no, only people who look like true Starks can have this, and he looks more like a Tully. And it's not as if I can give it to Arya" He laughed.
"But she would take it" I laughed back. "Anyway Father I have to leave, Uncle Benjen is waiting for me."
"Goodbye jon"
"Goodbye Father" I smiled then walked away.
