Mari was happy at least but the past haunted her. She went to a therapist but she just couldn't confide in her. She told her minor things about the incident which was already known by public. She said that all she wanted was to hug him. To never let him go. To see that she was truly safe. She left the part who he was or who her uncle-aunty were. She left out the part that she sees the murderer in her dreams, that she wanted revenge, that she is afraid that he will get Ricky too. Even with the non-threatening smile the woman was still a stranger she learned her lesson after not stopping the stranger messing with the trapeze. Her mind was filled with what ifs. How could her parents send her to a stranger who could be dangerous and seeking out information to kill her. She was working with the man who killed them. She-she will kill Ricky and her parents ,her Nonna. She had a panic attack. No-one took her to therapist after that at her insistence.
She quickly learned that if you scowl everyone will come to comfort you but if you smile everyone will think everything's alright and they will not bother you. So she covered her paoin with a smile.
She learned to control her fear. Inside she winced at every shadow. Outside she wears a smile . Inside her mind the memory replays and replays. Outside she is a bubbly girl who is most positive from all the students. Being distracted by the thoughts about her past made her extremely clumsy.
In the class: Teacher,"Marinette are you ready-"
Mari,"I will kick your ass every time we play this game."(Actually talking to Dick)
The whole class laughs. Marinette blushing 20 different shades of red.
In the gym: Gym teacher,"Marinette its your turn to jump-"
Mari,"I am not falling for your prank, Dick."
On the stairs: Marinette thinking she is getting down the trapeze and.......falls.
While eating: Marinette suddenly starts laughing.(I do that randomly too thinking about maribat)
The only times she get rid of the clumsiness is when she is focused. She pushed all the thoughts aside and started working herself to the bones. She started making her own clothes, helped parents in the bakery, did favors for her classmates, helped her teachers, learned paintings etc. etc.
That's how she spend the last few years. She is getting her clumsiness in control. She is succeeding too. Now she's 13.The nightmares are still there but now she is more able to control her. Now her parents don't need to come every time she had a nightmare. She just wakes up panting, screams into her pillow and starts designing based on her nightmares. But it always gets worse when its close to that time of year.
Today is her first day for new semester. She can't wait to go and see Chloe again so that she could hear the insults about her clumsiness again. Yeahhhh. She took the box of macaroons in her hands and kissed her parents goodbye. She reached school. Aaaaaand.... guess who got the bad luck of a black cat, her. She entered her homeroom only to be greeted by the sight of Chloe sitting on her seat. Her seat. She entered and casually said,"Go back to your seat."
"As if Dupain-Cheng."
"I told you to get out of my seat." She said with a smile on her face but this time in English. She knew Chloe knew English.
