The tale of a robin and a nightingale

Panic attack!!!

It had been a while since Dick has started the team. His relationship with Bruce was ............ improving. He liked his team but the problem? He compares everyone to Nettie. Kori' is very cheerful, just like he and Marinette used to be. Cyborg, very scientific, Marinette loved to know how science worked. Due to their travelling they couldn't learn much. He will make sure to teach Marinette all he learnt from Bruce. Beast boy was fun loving just like Marinette and him those days. Raven is the calm presence that resembles Marinette's whenever he needed. He wonders when will he meet her again. He played with his charm, smiling at the thought of her. He wondered if he had a crush on her. The thought of kissing her gave his heart a giddy feeling.

FLASHBACK

Marinette and Dick were playing hide and seek. When they saw a man and a woman kissing.

"What are they doing?" Marinette asked from behind the tree. Hide and seek long forgotten.

"I don't know Cupcake." Dick answered.

"Let's ask then." Marinette said. They went to Dick's parents.

"Auntie what were the man and the woman doing, kissing on their lips. Don't you kiss our cheeks?" Both of them froze and looked at them.

Dick's father tried," Ummm, they........ you......." He failed terribly.

Mrs. Grayson said," When two people love each other they kiss like that. Don't think too much about it, go play. You will understand when you are big enough." She shooed them away.

They both sat on a tree. " Don't we love each other? And Auntie said that two people love each other. We are two."

"Yes, maybe it's something about friendship." Dick said.

"Maybe it strengthens friendship!" Mari exclaimed.

"Oh so do we have to do it?" Dick said.

"It will make our friendship stronger!"

"Let's do it then!"

They both closed their eyes and moved closer and closer and kissed each others lips. They pulled away.

"Now we will forever be best friends!" Mari clapped her hands together.

FLASHBACK END

He blushed at the thought. They were later informed what a kiss was for. He felt guilty a little but they were children. He stole her first kiss! But she did too so maybe they were equal. He wonders if she remember. He was pulled out of his daze by a voice.

"Ah! Robin's smirking and blushing!" Beast boy was jumping up and down as a monkey.

He quickly tried to hide the charm but failed because Cyborg took it from him. All the titans came there hearing Beast boy's voice.

"What happened Beast boy?" Starfire asked. Raven looked annoyed by his loud voice.

"So you finally kissed, he was smiling and blushing. A goofy smile!!"

"No, I did not kiss him after the first day." Starfire shook her head.

"See it's so cute!" Cyborg said, showing everyone the charm. Robin's head was somewhere else. Suddenly, the scene of his bullies taking his charm. The thing he treasures so much came to him. His heart rate picked up, his eyes widened, when Cyborg waved the charm and beast boy and cyborg tried to take the charm from each other. He panicked. His whole body was sweating in matter of seconds. The most important thing that he has of Nettie, the thing he treasures more than his life, RAGE TOOK OVER HIM. He kicked cyborg in his face and threw his batarangs at Beast boy. He took his charm midair, securing him. The next thing he knew he was fighting, all of them. He couldn't hear anything. He was brought out of his daze when he felt his anger melt away and he fell on his knees. Raven took Starfire's support as she struggled to stand.

"He had a lot of anger. I need to sit." Raven said. Starfire helped her sit on the couch. His breathing was heavy, he was panting. His whole body was sweating. He took off his gloves and touched his cheek. He felt wet drops fall on his hand.

Everyone were looking at him. Cyborg and Beast Boy looked in pretty bad state, they looked very beaten up. He curled on himself as tears continued to fall from his eyes. All of them were shocked. He had never shown them the whole Robin. To them he was just Robin who doesn't laugh aloud, was a leader and very serious. He never attacked his team-mates. They are probably surprised that how much training he had.

He steeled himself, wiped his tears and stood up. Face in a blank mask.

"I apologize." Was his only response.

They just looked at him with wide eyes.

"You apologize? What happened you never attacked any of us?" Cyborg wasn't looking happy.

"You are the one that took it without any warning, it triggered a memory." He replied calmly, arms crossed over his chest.

Cyborg was ready to argue but Raven cut him off," The charm is very important to him. It doesn't take a genius to know that."

"Robin, are you okay?" Starfire asked, worry clear in her eyes.

" I-I-I." He hiccuped. He couldn't take it anymore. His throat burned, he just wanted to hug his cupcake and cry.

Cyborg and beast boy looked at him, feeling guilty.

"Sorry dude."

"Yeah, we are sorry."

Robin sighed," Let me tell you something being a bat requires a tragic past." Then he left the room, tears rolling down his cheek.

Starfire asked Raven," What happened to Robin?"

Beast boy answered her," He had a panic attack."

"That must be really valuable for him." Said Cyborg.

"Let's leave him alone for a while."

Robin went straight to the zeta-tubes. He entered the bat-cave and saw Alfred sitting on the batcomputer.

"Master Richard you are home." Alfred greeted him.

"Yes Alfred. I needed a distraction." Alfred nodded. He was still crying. He removed his mask.

"Master Richard, you can tell me what happened." Alfred said.

Dick sighed," I-I was thinking about nightingale-I-" Alfred put a hand on his shoulder.

"They took my lucky charm......"

"Who Master Richard?"

"Cyborg took it from me and then beast boy and cyborg, I was so scared that I will lose the most important thing, the mark of our friendship. The scene of the bullies played before me and I attacked them, I attacked my own team. I attacked them Alfred." He was still crying.

Alfred gave him a cup of hot chocolate and put a blanket on him as he cried. Where did he get that? Dick stopped questioning his abilities much before.

Robin was silently crying when the sound of Bat mobile was heard.

Dick looked at the car. He expected Batman to come out of the car, not a boy near his age to come out with him.

"Robin what are you doing here?" Batman asked.

Robin looked at Alfred who was raising an eyebrow at Batman.

"Uhhhh....... I meant why are you crying Robin?" Batman amended.

"Who is he?" He just asked. Tears stopped.

"This is Jason."

"Is he my brother?"

"Uh." Batman didn't know what to say.

Suddenly a part of Dick which Batman hadn't seen from a while came out. He jumped out of the blanket.
