"I hope they're working everything out. I mean her being a spy and trying kill the dad. That isn't exactly how people are meant to love each other." Says Derek eating my lucky charms.

"Derek?"

"Yes, Van?"

"Shut up and give me back my food!" He immediately gives it back.

"Hey Van!" Says Hallie walking into the kitchen. She had been living here because of her knowledge and because we needed another doctor.

"Well hello! Who might you be?" I roll my eyes. Derek has been flirting with Hallie for months and I admit at first I found it amusing. Now it's not.

"Not interested."

"That's not a name, but I'll take that as a maybe." He winks at her.

"Derek, leave the poor girl alone!" Orders Alonzo, walking in and wrapping his arms around me.

"Listen to Alonzo, women are nothing but trouble." States Ryder walking into the kitchen holding his nose.

"Why? What did she do this time?" Asks Alonzo.

"That unthankful bitch broke my nose!" He hisses and gets some more Kleenexes.

"Why? What did you do this time?" He gives us a smug smile wincing just a bit, but doesn't answer my question.

"He tied her up to his bed, made her listen to Ryder threaten her boyfriend and Diana, then proceeded to drug her unconscious." Says Derek looking at his phone. "Oooh, yup, I'm pretty sure your nose is broken dude. That woman has got some strong ass legs. Hahahaha!" He bursts out laughing.

"You told the enemy that their cover was blown! Now Alexander will have no choice to tell them that Diana is alive! You idiot!" I say while punching Ryder. He is of course cowering and trying to block my punches because he doesn't want to hurt me. The benefits of being pregnant is that people can't touch me without feeling guilty.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" I stop and turn atound to see an angry big brother.

"But he-!"

"Vanessa!"

"Fine!"

"What did you mean when you said 'now he will have no choice but to tell them that Diana is alive?' Am I missing something, sister?!" He says glaring down at me.

"Ask Diana, she can give you better answers than I can." I say looking at him as if his stare doesn't scare me. I guess I've learned to live with angry men in my family. "Wait, where is Diana?"

"In a cell block, and is going to stay there until I decide what to do with this situation." I slap him, hard.

"Ooooooo, oh no she didn't!" Says Derek in a dramatic voice while snaping with each word. Before anyone could pummel him for doing that Hallie kisses him, then knees him in the groin. Let's just say, I see why Derek likes her.

"You are starting to sound a lot more like father! Do you know what it feels like to be locked in a room most of your life!? Do you know what it feels like to have no one to talk to other than yourself and pointless toys!? I was locked away for more than half my life until you told him to let me have a chance. That I would be safe..." Tears start to drop consistently off my face. "She was my first friend, she was the first person to see me as a badass! She was the only one I saw that seemed somewhat like me!" At this point, I'm on my knees in front of him crying my eyes out. I hate these dang hormones!
