DIANA
Three called cabs, two bathroom breaks, and five touchy men later, it's finally time for my break. As I walk away from the bar the bars bell chimes and the feeling that I had gotten when Vanessa arrived had returned. I turned around to help the person who had walked in before I actually took my break and almost blew up in rage when I saw who was standing there with a boutique of flowers. It was Nicholas, the man whose father had killed mine in a fit of cold blood. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, when I finally stopped mentally killing him I stormed from the bar once more.
"Vanessa get to the bar, I'm going on break!" I yelled up to her from the back. I can't believe he's here! The one man I want dead in this world, apart from his father of course, just walked in my bar with a hand full of flowers! I wonder who those are for. NO Diana, you can't think that way! As I was walking out to the parking lot and finding a way to get this anger out, Vanessa came storming after me yelling my name.
"Diana! Wait! Please you have to come back in!" Oh hell no. I ain't going back in there until he's buried 10ft under ground! I turn around and wait for her to catch up.
"Why? Its my break, I always have this time of the night off." I don't want her to feel like I'm rushing out because of something or someone. She might start to ask certain questions.
"Yeah, but I wanted you to meet my brother. You two might hit it off." Huh? When did she tell me about this set up? Oh ya! Never!
"Are you telling me to stay at the bar so you can introduce me to your family? You know I don't swing that way right?" She looked at me with a confused face then it quickly changed into full blown out laughter. Which of course had me smiling a bit, I haven't laughed in years but I do smile on occasion.
"Sis, if I did swing that way I would have hit on you a while back. No, I want to hook you up with my brother. You two are very similar and both need a life that doesn't entail work." Great. Another friend that wants a man in my life. Only this friend is trying to hook me up with her brother. Just great! I might as well listen to her, that way she can't tell me I didn't try.
"Fine, but if he disgusts me or is a dick in any way then I don't want to see him in this bar ever again." I look right into her eyes for an agreement to make sure she won't lie. She nods her head up and down in really fast motions with a smile that makes her look like a child agreeing to be good for Christmas. Then like the flash she quickly grabs me by the arm and forces me inside. Gosh I hope Nicholas left, I really don't want to be cleaning up his remains in my bar. That should be done in the middle of no where so no one can hear him scream.
While I am imagining the wonders of killing Nicholas and his father I'm forced in a booth facing the man Vanessa calls brother, Nicholas Francois Night. His hair is black and spiked up with a face that could have been carved by an angel, but his eyes are what really caught my attention. His eyes are dark green like a forest in the night not touched by any light. My eyes widen as Vanessa sits beside me smiling and starts some conversation.
"Nick this is my boss, friend and your date Diana. Diana this is..." I cut her off and finish the sentence for her.
"...Nicholas Night. It's a pleasure meeting you in person, I've always dreamt of meeting you. I just never expected it to be on these kind of terms." I say while forcing myself to smile instead of to glare and strangle him to death. Besides, it's rude to kill one of your best friends brother right in front of her while being in a public place.
"So you've heard of me?" He asks in a deep voice that would scare the pants off me if I wasn't a trained stubborn bitch. As he says this Vanessa leaves us in the booth alone.
"Yes I have. How you may ask. I could have heard about you from your sister but we both know she wouldn't have told me anything that involves you." He raises an eyebrow at this but I continue to talk.
"I could have heard about you through the whispers of the people that fear you." I said with a smirk starting to appear on my face.
"But in all reality I just heard about you from my father. You know the chief of police." I continued, now with a full blown smirk on my face. He just looked at me like I had told him his worst nightmare. But that look quickly changed to a smirk that matches mine as he realizes something.
"I know who you really are babe. Your Diana, my future bride." He says to me with a look of endearment on his face. I quickly jumped into action and grabbed the fork that was on the plate on top of the table. I jumped over the table and stabbed him in the eye with it, effectively killing him.
"Future bride my ass." I said to his corpse, as his sister just looks at me completely frozen in place.
The end.
Author: Diana what the hell!! This is not what happened! I asked you to write the truth not what you wish had happened!!
Diana: But this ending is so much better. Plus you should be happy its short and not like two books long!
Author: *Roles eyes* Sorry people Nick is not actually dead. The continuation of the real conversation is down below. The rest of the story will be real right Diana?
Diana: Yeah, whatever.
"So you know who I am and what I do for a living?" I nod with a blank expression across my face.
"Perfect! Than I'll be picking you up tomorrow. The flowers are for you and please dress up. The date will be at 7:00 so be ready by at least 6." He quickly but quietly left me alone in the booth staring at the flowers with nothing to say but: I better find a dress.
How do you think their first date is gonna go?
Do you enjoy Diana's POV as much as I do?
And of course don't forget to vote. Comment. And follow me if you haven't already.😁😉
