RYDER

It's been a couple weeks since MJ tried to leave. I locked her in our room hoping she'd atleast scream at me but she's been completely silent. All she ever does is sleep.

I try to get her to talk to me as much as possible but I don't get much time considering the constant search for Diana. Nick has been irate ever since she disappeared with Nathaniel.

I'm currently in the kitchen preparing lunch for Blondie. She hasn't been eating much lately.

"Hey bro! Whatcha doin'?" Asks Derek walking into the kitchen and going straight for the cheesecake that Hallie made for him yesterday. Those two have been spending a decent amount of time together lately. It feels as if Nick and I are the only ones dealing with girl troubles.

"I'm getting some lunch for Mica."

"Can't she come down and find her own food?" He takes a bite of the cheesecake and moans. I'm surprised he hasn't finished the cake by now.

"No. I'm not letting her out of that room until she tells me the real reason why she tried to leave. Even then, I'm too afraid she'll try it again. I gave her too much leeway too soon." He shrugs me off.

I knock on the bedroom door before I enter so she knows that I'm coming in. As I walk in and shut the door behind me, I see her staring outside the window with a sad expression.

"I brought you some food."

"..." She doesn't respond or even show that she heard me.

"Mica I-"

"Don't call me that! And don't call me Blondie either!" My eyes widen at her tone of voice. She sounds like the emotionless woman I first met. I look at the bedside table to see that the breakfast tray I brought up this morning is still sitting there, untouched.

"Jaden, you need to eat something. It's not healthy to starve yourself. I don't want to have to put another IV in you." I walk up to her and try moving the hair out of her face. She grabs my wrist and twists it backwards. I groan in pain but stay still.

"I'm not hungry. Now please leave me alone and don't try to touch me again." She releases my hand and continues to stare out the window like nothing happened.

I quickly grab both trays and march down to the kitchen. I dump the breakfast down the bin and throw the tray in the sink angrily.

"Woah, what's got you so pissed off? I thought I was only one having anger issues now a days." Asks Nicholas, drinking coffee and scaning files.

"It's MJ. She won't eat, she barely talks to me, and just now she snapped at me about calling her Mica. She hasn't done that since she found out Diana was alive. I'm worried about her, man." I clarify.

"She hasn't been eating? Then make her eat. If she doesn't talk, then find a way to get her to talk. You want my advice? Don't listen to a thing I say because you'll only end up alone and heartless." He walks away and I'm amazed how much he's changed in the past couple of weeks. He went from angry to depressed just over night.

I grab the lunch I made and dump it all in the blender. Nick just said not to take his advice so I'm not going to take his advice on not taking his advice. If she won't eat then she'll have to drink. Whether or not that be willingly I don't care; she needs food.
