Moving here, everyone was talking about the musical. The musical of this town.. Mysterydale. Our school musical was something I wanted to participate in, coming into this new school. I wanna do something fun for once. As I walked through the doors at school, all I seen was everyone getting prepared for the musical tonight.

I told you.. it was big deal. Since I was participating in the musical I went to the theatre room, and went to my dressing room. I was fitting on outfits for the night. They all fitted perfectly, of course. All of a sudden, I was looking at myself in the mirror. I smiled because I was happy that I could finally smile at myself without faking anything.

"Have you seen.. Nolani?" Eric said as he walked in my dressing room. First off, no I haven't. Second off, don't bust in my dressing room like that again sir. "Sorry, I just been calling her phone all day. No one had seen her." Eric says. Is it okay, to get the wrong thought. "She's not there in the southside. She went home with Ross last night — "Where is Nolani, she didn't come home last night." Ross said budging in on their conversation.

Eric looked at me with a scared face and I looked back at him. The school didn't notice they were all looking at their phones. Their phones that read rumors about Keilai being arrested. I doubted it, but anything is possible in a time like this. "I need to find her.. please. They messed with Nolani. A girl who brought so much to me. Who helped me. I'd be damned if I let them get away with it. You guys can come or not." I went with Ross to search for her, Eric stayed since he had to direct the play.

I got into the car Ross owned and he drove our way to the southside. As we made it there — there were gates closed and gang members.. standing out guarding who goes in. They approached their way to the vehicle. Ross stepped out, and asked where was Nolani. "I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about." — "A girl, she's very short, brown hair, ponytail, oversized shirts and sweaters. Doesn't ring a bell?" Ross said.

"Nope — not even a little." I watched Ross from the passenger seat as he pulled out a gun from his back pocket. "How about now, does it ring one? If it doesn't then I won't be able to ask you again." He said pointing the gun at them. Of course though — they all brought out their guns. "Think twice before you pull it.

Ross tried to step back, but they forced them to stop. I held a certain type of fear in my heart, I couldn't see Ross lose his life. They approached Ross, but as they did I stepped out of the car. It caught their attention, suddenly they stopped and stared at me. I didn't want to show them that I had fear, so I put on a brave face and tried to act it out.

"Put down your guns, and let us go. I won't ask again. One call and you'll be dead." I said as I pulled out my phone which showed a fake message of me sending for help — they lowered their guns and let us go on back to the north side.

Driving back.. the car was more silent then ever. Ross was mad and I felt the energy radiating in the car. We headed back to the musical, and I was a bit confused on why we didn't continue the search for Nolani. Arriving at school. "Well, let's enjoy this play. Shall we?" I was still so confused on why he started acting different, but I let it slide. The night felt so wrong to me.

As time continued to pass by, we were at the musical watching all the performances. Since I was performing next with my crew, I was in the dressing room getting ready to go on stage. "You're on in 15." The stage runner said. I started finishing up the last things I had to do for my look.

I don't want to be in this hell hole again. It's stupid, i've been in here for two days already. Thankfully, after two days. The lawyer and one of the officers came to open my cell. "You're free, as of now. We'll prepare your case and let you know." The officer said. I walked up to the double doors where I would be set free. I was so happy to see my boyfriend held onto his word.

There was also just this feeling i've had, the feeling of.. I can't explain it. One thing I do know though, is that I want my best friends back. I wanted to start with Nolani since she was the first person I laid my eyes on. I showed up to her doorstep with flowers and all. I then realized the musical was tonight, knowing Nolani her and Willow probably would be there.

I saw Mikey's room light on, so I went next door and knocked on his door. I watched him as he came to the door. "Lai.." He said in a questioning tone. Why aren't you at the musical at school, I asked. "I could ask you the same question." He said to me.

Well, I checked over at Nolani's and she isn't home so. I figured she was there. "Nolani haven't talked to me since last night. She would've gotten back to me by now.. but I guess not." Bad thoughts started flushing through my head.. but I chose to think positive. We should go to the musical.. together, I say to him.

"Umm, I guess so." He said walking out of his home. Honestly I wasn't expecting him to say yes. I've been so stupid towards my friends and I just want them back. Me and Mikey started walking towards the school where the musical was held. We started having conversations about our life and other things too.

I was getting ready to go onto stage. I left out of my dressing room and went the back entrance of the stage. I felt an eerie feeling but I guess it was just stage fright. I saw Lai and Mikey walk in the building and took their seats. I was happy to know the rumors weren't true. The curtains came open, and there we were. Singing our hearts out. That eerie feeling was gone. Just for it to come back.. when we brought down the big scene. Everyone screamed and tried to run out but, the doors were locked closed.

I looked behind me and their was a body of someone who looked similar to Nolani pinned against a darting board with knives through parts of her body. The lights shut off, and gunshots were heard throughout the building. I felt a bullet go through my leg, but I was to scared to scream or recognize that i've been shot.

Moments later, the lights came back on and doors opened. The police came and took us injured out and searched throughout the building. I was put onto a hospital bed outside of the ambulance doors. Ross came up to me and asked me. "That couldn't have been Nolani, right?" He said to me with cracks going through his voice. I felt his pain and my eyes starting tearing up as I laid down looking at him.

I'm so sorry, I said as I looked up at him. I took my shaking hand and placed it on his face. They picked the bed up and placed me in the ambulance and took me away. That's where the eerie feeling was coming from — that night was filled with the traumatic events and I couldn't take another. So I just — closed my eyes.
