Dustin's life changed around when his parents decided to take a family trip. It was hours from the city, leading them into the greenest forest he has ever seen. Tons of trees went by in a blur and the vines hung down or were wrapped up around the branches of the trees. Dustin wasn't very happy about the trip because he had to miss his best friend's birthday party but he went along reluctantly. Well, he felt more like he was dragged along. As the car slowed to the stop, Dustin took a good look at a house in front of them. It was like a mansion! It was at least three stories tall and had a ladder heading up to the roof. It had a whole lot of space to run around and a small playground in the backyard. He unbuckled himself and ran out his frown disappeared into a big smile while the parents smirked and walked after Dustin. Dustin ran into another person as he was running around the corner. Dustin slowly looked up seeing her pretty face. The woman had long raven locks that ran down her back, her lips were a blood red, her skin was pale, her eyes were a blue too but these were cold blue eyes like ice. She wore a short black dress that went to her knees with black high heels.

"Why hello child, didn't expect to see you here at all." The woman smiled showing slight confusion. "Ah, why hello there Ma'am." Dustin said politely. "What is your name? I'm Elizabeth but call me Liz." Liz said. "I'm Dustin; it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Liz!" Dustin smiled. "Don't call me miss it makes me feel old!" Liz laughed. "Hey Liz! Want to meet my parents?" Dustin smiled. "Sure thing Dustin. Let's go!" She cheered walking to the door taking Dustin's small hand. They walked out to see the car reversing. "Have fun!" Dustin's mother laughed. The car sped down the road leaving a cloud of dust behind them. "No mom! Dad! Come back!" Dustin screamed running down the gravel road. "Dustin come back!" Liz called. "Why? Why did they do this to me?" Dustin cried. Tears streamed down his small tan face and onto the hard ground. Liz walked up behind him her heels crunching in the gravel and gave him a gigantic bear hug. "Come on let's go inside before it rains on us. We don't want to get sick now do we?" Liz said picking him up and walking back to the house quickly. Dustin sniffed looking back at the road where the dust was finally settling down and the car was out of sight. Liz carried Dustin to his new room and tucked him into the soft sheets of the bed. "Sweet dreams..." Liz whispered kissing his forehead softly. Dustin sighed deeply, his tears drying up, turned his head to look out the window as the small raindrops rolled down the frame. Before walking out she took one last glance at him and smiled weakly, then she closed the door leaving him to fall into a peaceful sleep.
