After 11 years

Chapter 3

Violetta's POV:

Our first dance is almost over and everybody starts clapping. Instead of the music turning down it transforms into another song, I don't know what is happening but I recognize the song immediately. Ludmilla and Federico both come out of another side of the crowd and walk towards us. They take our hands and lead us to two chairs, which appeared when the crowd split up. They walk back to the middle of the dance floor and while doing this they also sing.

Lu: "Crecimos juntos Había todo por hacer"

Lu and F: "Y caminamos Había tanto que aprender"

I give a confused look to Leon, but he gives me the same look back, so he also doesn't know what is going on.

The melody keeps playing in the background, but instead of singing they start talking.

Lu: "Leon, my best friend, and Vilu, my sister, how did that happen? When you first walked into the studio Vilu, you turned my world upside down. I had the feeling you ruined my life. I mean you practically took my place in the studio as the 'star', you stole my boyfriend and then you stole my other boyfriend. And I made your life pretty hard because of that and with hard I mean a living hell," I nod in agreement and everybody is laughing softly, "And the funny part of it is that one of those boyfriends is sitting right in front of me. Yeah people, my sister married my ex. That would be a great headline: 'My sister marries my ex-boyfriend.' Haha no I'm kidding. That is all in the past now, I have my own beautiful fiancé now. After all I just really hope that you will be happy together and will spend the rest of your life's with each other, because you just belong together. I love you and wish you all the best and in true old Ludmilla fashion." Snap, snap, snap "Ludmilla is out."

Everybody starts laughing and so do I, I blow her a kiss and Federico starts talking while there is still some giggling from the crowd.

F: Snap, snap, snap "Federico is in." The giggling changes in laughing again, "Why did I give her permission to go first? How can I ever top this? Well I'm gonna try anyway. Vilu, I know you a little less longer and we also didn't made a good start at first. I had a crush on Vilu and Leon was jealous of course, but lucky enough it all turned out well. We're best friends now and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm not gonna make this very long, but I just want to tell you that I hope that it will stay like this forever and that you two will be very happy together."

We both stand up and hug them. While I'm hugging Federico, the music becomes louder again. I expect Ludmilla and Federico to start singing again, but instead I hear different voices. Federico lets me go and I sit down again, while Francesca and Diego come out of the crowd.

Fr: "Crecimos juntos Y sin querer hallé tus manos"

Fr and D: "Fuimos creciendo Con cada nota de aquel piano"

The melody goes on, but they stop singing. I think I get how this is going to be.

Fr: "Vilu... I can't believe this, my best friend is married," she says overenthusiastic, "There is so much to say that I don't know what to say. We've been friends for so long. I still remember de first day I heard you sing, you were so shy because you didn't know how good you are. We convinced you to audition for the studio and I'm so glad we did, because I can't imagine my life without you," she takes a little break and my eyes start to water and I can see hers too. "Well actually I can, I had such a hard time all the years you were gone, I didn't know where you were and I was terrified, but luckily that's all over now. You're back and I'm so happy that you two are finally taking this step, from the first moment I knew you were meant to be. I wish you both lots of love for all the years you have in front of you and know if you ever need me I'm here for you both." I see a tear rolling down her cheek and I can't help, but walk to her and hug her real tight.
