After 11 years

Chapter 5

Violetta's POV:

I woke up cuddled up to my husband, I couldn't be happier right now, I'm married to the man of my dreams. I look at the time and see that it's 11.30 a.m., we were supposed to meet everybody for brunch at 11 so I quickly wake up Leon.

V: "Leon, wake up we overslept."

L: "Hmm"

V: "Wake up it's 11.30, we were supposed to be at brunch half an hour ago."

L: "Good morning my beautiful wife."

V: "Good morning my handsome husband, now can you get out of bed, we need to go."

L: "Just a little longer, I like cuddling with you."

V: "I know I do too, but we're late and we have our whole lives to cuddle."

L: "Fine"

We get dressed and walk downstairs, we're 45 minutes late so I hope they're still there. When we get to the breakfast hall, we see everyone sitting there with two seats saved in the middle.

Lu: "So the bride and groom decided to join us after all, did you have a buzzy night that you slept so long?"

G: "Some of us don't want to know that answer, I know I'm one of those people."

V: "We just overslept, sorry."

N: "I thought maybe you already left for your honeymoon."

L: "No, we're going on our honeymoon later, because we need to be there for someone's wedding, so we're postponing our honeymoon until after their wedding."

Lu: "Yeah, thanks for that by the way."

V: "It's only because I'm maid of honour and he's best man otherwise we would have said 'ciao we'll be back the day before your wedding'."

F: "Like Ludmi said, we appreciate it."

N: "I have a question, who was that Jack guy that made such a scene at the wedding?"

V: "That might have been my ex."

Fr: "YOUR WHAT?"

V: "My ex."

C: "I thought you never had a boyfriend before Leon?"

V: "I didn't, he was my boyfriend for four years up until a few months before I came back to Argentina."

Fr: "You had a boyfriend in Europe, but I thought you weren't over Leon?"

V: "I wasn't, I tried to convince myself I was and that I could fall in love again, but I couldn't because Leon was still in my mind and most importantly my heart."

N: "But why the screaming?"

V: "Because he cheated on me, with my supposed to be friend and then he decided that he could come and crash my wedding, so I was really mad."

M: "But why did he crash the reception and not the wedding itself then?"

V: "He was late, luckily."

L: "But in the end it turned out all right and we were married anyway, he couldn't change that."

V: "Leon, look at the time we have to get going."

Fr: "Where are you going?"

V: "James Corden has a South-America tour and is currently in Argentina and he asked to be the first to interview us as a married couple and we agreed. That interview is today so we have to get ready to get going."

B: "Good luck!"

L: "Thanks bye!"

We went up to our room and changed into something appropriate, I quickly did my hair and make-up and we got in a car that the show had send to pick us up. When we got there, we were rushed backstage, because we were already running late, and ushered onstage not long after.

JC (James Corden): "Let's welcome Leon and Violetta Vargas!"

Everyone was screaming and clapping, so we waved to the audience, I gave James a hug and Leon shook his hand before we sat down.

JC: "It's been a long time since I had an audience that was that exciting about a guest or guests, not that I'm not excited."

V: "We're excited to be here as well."

JC: "First of all, congratulations on your marriage!"

L: "Thanks"

JC: "Second of all, why aren't you two on your honeymoon?"

V: "Well, Ludmilla and Federico are getting married in two weeks and I'm maid of honour and Leon is best man, so we are supposed to help with the last preparations for their wedding so we're going on our honeymoon after their wedding."

JC: "That's sweet, but there are going to be super romantic pictures of your honeymoon on social media right, because I think I speak for everyone as I say that we want to see them."

We hear some screams in the audience.

L: "Well I guess we can post a pick or two, what do you think?"

V: "Yeah we could probably do that."

JC: "Yes, so what's next, where are your careers going to go and what kind of plans are there for the future?"

L: "Well our band just released a new album so there's going to be a tour coming up."

V: "My album will drop in a few weeks and I'm going on tour a few months after that too."

JC: "Then you're going to spend some months apart if you're both on tour, how will you manage to keep a strong relationship through that?"

V: "We trust each other and for me that's enough, of course I'll miss him, but I know I will see him again."

JC: "So after that, what are your life plans?"

L: "We want a family someday, we are now in a point of our careers where we're very busy, but when the time is right, we want to have children."

JC: "That is so cute, I think I speak for everyone if I say that we would love to see Leonetta kids, am I right?" Everyone cheers. "That's what I thought."

V: "Someday, I mean I always say that everything happens for a reason, so when it happens it happens. I think the right time will be chosen for us and if that's in a year it's in a year and if that's in five years, then it's in five years."

JC: "Well, we'll be looking forward to it. We'll be back after a short break when Violetta will be singing her new single, so don't go anywhere."

???: "Cut!"

JC: "Violetta, you have about five minutes to get ready for your performance."

V: "Thanks, Leon I'm going backstage to get ready."

L: "Okay, good luck, love you!"

V: "Love you too!" I said walking backstage

After getting ready for the performance, I got on stage while Leon was still on the couch with James.

???: "And we're going live in 5,4,3,2,..."

JC: "Welcome back to the South-America tour of the late late show with ME. So tonight we have Leon and Violetta Vargas here and Violetta is about to perform her newest single. So give her a big round of applause, here is Violetta Vargas with 'Easy'!"
