Tina tapped her foot to the beat of the song playing as she slowly painted she was working a another piece that depicted fire. She had decide that her internet series was going to be called, Fire and Flames and each piece would contain flames or fire in some way. She now had 21 pieces complete and she number them and started the process of getting them professional framed. She wanted them to be as unique as possible.
Bette walked into the studio carrying a bottle of water and a sandwich for her wife
"Honey,"
Tina turned her head at Bette's voice and smiled.
"Hello, babe, how is your day going?" Tina asked as she put her paint brush down and took the plate her wife was offering her. she knew her wife was working from home today
"It's okay, how are the paintings coming."
"They are coming, the framer is coming tomorrow to frame the 21 that are ready and we will start selling them."
"That's good, have you numbered and signed them?"
"Yep," Tina smiled.
"I wish all the artist I work with were like you?"
"That good eh?"
"it was good, just hard work with some of the people in the show, its always the problem with a group show one artist always things another has more space, or better lighting. You know the usual,"
"I do," Tina smiled, she picked up her sandwich and took a bite.
Bette smiled at her wife, she was glad she was looking healthier. Tina was sleeping better. she also knew that time was eating well as she was making sure that Tina had three meals a day. she was also glad that Tina was painting again. doing something that was important to her.
"How many pieces are you hoping to have for Fire and Flames?"
"I've decided on 25, 21 that will get up on my website in the next few days. Then there will be four more. One for you, Shane, Alice and Kit. Your piece will be the most unique and you can't see it till its finished. Shane, Alice's and Kit's will all be similar."
"When will we get to see them?" Bette asked, she hadn't know what her wife was planning.
"Soon," Tina said not wanting to answer the question.
"Okay, I won't press."
"As you shouldn't." Tina grinned.
"Right I'm going back to work, shall we go out for dinner?"
"We can,"
"Maybe head to the Planet? Have a nice meal."
"I'd like that," Tina admitted.
Bette knew Tina wanted her to leave her alone, Bette kissed her wife's temple and then left her alone. Tina smiled. finishing her lunch. She spent the rest of the afternoon, touching the pieces up. before wrapping them up. Each piece was a part of their friendship made up of burning images. She'd signed each of the pieces. She wanted her friends to be involved in this part of her jounery. The last thing she did was look at the picture she had hand drawn and painted for Bette. he was a mixture of pencil and paint that showed light colours and shows their love expressed the canvas. She wrapped it for Bette. knowing that she would love the piece. It was piece number 25 and was the only one that did not feature fire or flame, if featured light and happiness something she had found with her wife.
She opened the car and moved the pieces to the trunk, hoping that Bette would be able to park near the planet for her be able to take them in.
She walked into the studio and started to clean up. she felt pleased with herself. she knew that she was doing something good.
Once the studio was clean she closed it up for the day. Going into the house she went to Bette's home office.
"Babe,"
"Mmm,"
"What time you looking to head to the Planet?" Tina asked, she wanted to shower and change.
"Erm around half fiveish as it takes us about an hour and you will need to eat about half six, seven." Bette looked up at her wife and smiled. "What are you up too?"
"You will see, I'm going to shower and change then."
"Okay, are you sure you're not going to tell me what you're up too?" Bette cocked her head to one side.
"I'm not telling you Bette." Tina grinned, glad she had a little secret right now.
"I think you're up to something."
"I think I need a shower." Tina turned
"Tina Kennard,"
"What Ms Porter?" Tina looked over her shoulder.
"I love you,"
"I love you too babe,"
Bette watched as her wife walked away. she was glad that in the last three weeks since she had started painting fire and flames. She knew her wife was happier. She was eating and drinking better, she was sleeping amazingly. She was watching her wife's health improve daily and she was overjoyed. Life was good for them both. She was hoping that this internet series would be a success for Tina. Her phone rang.
"Bette Porter,"
"Hi Ms Porter,"
"Peggy Peabody," Bette smiled.
"I have heard a rumour and I can't get hold of your wife to know if it's true,"
"What would that rumour be?" Bette asked.
"That your wife, the delightfully talented Tina Kennard is doing a limited edition set of painting that will be released on her website, with no prints."
"Tina is about to do this, I didn't know that news had got out,"
"There is an article on a art website saying that their will only be 25 images and they will go live in the next few days and once they are sold they are sold. I have to have one Ms Porter."
Bette knew what Peggy was like,
"I have no control over Tina's business, I cannot get you one,"
"You really can't,"
"No Tina Kennard Studio is nothing to do with me,"
"I thought with you being married..."
"No Peggy, I'm sorry, Porter Galleries have nothing to do with Tina Kennard Studio. I know Tina will send an email out to everyone on her mailing list, I was would say join it and when you get the email get on the website."
"Great advise." Peggy said slowly. "I love your wife's work,"
"I'm getting that impress," Bette laughed. "She's a very talented woman."
"She is and you're one very lucky lady."
"I know. every day when I wake up beside her I know I'm very lucky."
"I don' think you've ever been this in love, " Peggy grinned as she spoke.
"I never thought I was going to get married. But Tina has changed my life. for the better I might add." Bette grinned.
"I better get Kitty to sign up for her mail list. I need one of those paintings no matter the price. I will speak soon," With that the phone went dead.
Bette shook her head glad that her wife had found her own way and was seriously making her name as Peggy Peabody wanted one of her limited edition pieces. She felt a pride in her wife that she couldn't express.
