A boy with fluffy, pitch black hair and hot pink irises sat in a cushioned wooden chair, that sat on a checkered floor. His attire consist of a plain white t-shirt, black joggers, and dark gray boots. As an accessory, he had a red scarf around his neck.In front of him was a more regal looking wooden white chair, with a small nightstand at its side of the same color.
Kyoro's eyes were closed as he listened to the footsteps behind him.
"Kyoro Keikēko. Welcome to the Afterlife. Apparently, a few moments ago, you passed on. My condolences. Your life was awfully short, reaching only 15 years. You have died, yet we do not know how. You, Kyoro, are an anomaly." A woman's voice sounded as they took the seat in front of him. Kyoro slowly opened his eyes and gazed at the woman in front of him.
"Are you some kind of magical girl?" Kyoro asked."Wh-Wha?! No! I'm a goddess! I'm the goddess, Aqua! Of the Axis cult!" Aqua shouted and stomped over to him. "I thought cults were bad things..." Kyoro commented. "Shut up! Let me continue!" She shouted hearing his words. "A-Ahem. When a young person dies in Japan, it's my job to guide them to the Afterlife. Now that you are here, you have a couple of options. You can either reincarnate and return to earth, or you can go to heaven and putter around like an old man for eternity." Aqua explained. "But just between you and me," Aqua started leaning down with her hand by her mouth, as if telling a secret. "Heaven is nothing like the dreamy place you humans imagine it being like. There's no TV, or manga, or games, and since you don't have a physical body," She stopped and whispered in his ear. "You can't have sex." She said. "You'll just bask in the sun til the end of time. Whenever that happens." She added.
"Mm...hm..." Kyoro said barely taking in the information. "Sounds totally boring, I know. You don't wanna go somewhere like that, do you?" Aqua asked in his face. "Nah. Next?" Kyoro answered. "Starting over from scratch isn't all it's cracked up to be either. But I have another option I know you'll love! You're young. I bet you like games!" Aqua started. "Why do I feel like you're treating me like a child?" Kyoro mumbled. "In a far away land, peace and prosperity are being threatened by the Devil King and his army! The innocent are being trampled by monsters! Destroyed in the blink of an eye! Fear rules the land and the Devil King's army rapes, and pillages, and slaughters...! And... more, slaughters!" Aqua informed. "Yikes." Kyoro said rolling his eyes.
"Life is so hard there. The population is in decline because no one wants to reincarnate back into it. To help we decided to send young people who died in other worlds, to that one, and let them keep their bodies and memories. Pretty clever, huh?" Aqua explained. "Sounds like I'm being sent to die." Kyoro said with a sigh. "I'm glad you brought that up! If you decide to go, I will let you choose one thing and take it with you. It can be anything, like a powerful weapon, or a special ability. You can have a new life and keep all your memories from your old one. Plus, you can have your own awesome power or weapon! That world needs a hero. And you can be it's hero! That's some deal, don't ya' think?" Aqua asked.
